Urban Renewal: A Study Of Contemporary Public Art In Chengd

The difference between "urban renewal" in China and Western countries lies in its special social form.Since the reform and opening up,in order to get rid of the poor and backward image as soon as possible,the country began to pay attention to the construction of new urban areas.However,with the rapid development of many cities,some weaknesses have been exposed,such as the single planning of the urban center,making the urban environment construction around the goal of pleasant,livable,comfortable and inclusive steady progress.The effective intervention of public art in a city can enhance the brand image of the city,enhance humanistic vitality,enrich social connections,shape local characteristics,and enable citizens to view the new urban environment from an alternative perspective and experience the charm of urban culture.In this sense,as the sum of regional color,temperature,emotion and vitality of the city,the reconciling agent of people,nature and society,and the catalyst of reshaping urban spirit,public art plays an increasingly important role in urban culture and economic development,and is a beautiful color of urban communities and blocks.It not only conforms to the sustainable development strategy of the city,but also builds a better and diversified living environment for the people,so as to fit the development idea of "park city" in theory.Under the background of urban renewal,the development of contemporary public art in Chengdu is no longer limited to a single form of visual art,but presents a pattern of diversified development.The new type of public art is a comprehensive cultural form of science and technology,interaction,application and realistic problem orientation.It pays more attention to the participation of the public,combines globalization and localization,so as to serve the public and integrate into the life of the public.This paper takes "urban renewal" as the background,adopts the research idea of combining various methods,combines public art with natural sciences and humanities and social sciences,such as art,sociology,history,anthropology,ecology,political science,urbanology,planning,etc.,and uses interdisciplinary research methods to carry out cross-research.This paper makes an in-depth analysis of the status of contemporary public art in Chengdu to find the development concept of "park city" for urban renewal,clarify the development methods and ideas of contemporary public art in Chengdu,and provide reference for the future development of public art in Chengdu,so as to make a contribution.
