| Yifu Tuan,a contemporary Chinese American geographer,assimilated phenomenology,existentialism and other philosophical points of view,and constructed a method of examining man-land relationship with humanistic spiritual value orientation.In this thesis,the core and essence of the relationship between man and earth are explored by tracing Topophilia,the foundation work of the school of human geography,and the subsequent research tendency,and comparing it with phenomenological philosophy.This thesis starts from Yifu Tuan’s " Topophilia ".Firstly,it explores the theoretical foundation of Yifu Tuan’s geographical research on human transformation,and understands the dialectic between space and place.Secondly,it studies the basic structure of man-land relationship and discusses how perception,attitude and world outlook are reflected and occur from the perspective of experience.Finally,based on the connection between Yifu Tuan and phenomenologist theory,this thesis analyzes the phenomenological thought contained in Yifu Tuan’s theory of Topophilia,reveals the importance of body subject in man-earth relationship,and the common concern for special places.Early humanist geographers represented by Yifu Tuan remind us to keep a true state of mind and eternal humanistic care.Through the perspective of phenomenology,we can deepen the reflection on the relationship between predecessors and geographical environment,and get a better living situation. |
