| The English Curriculum Standard of General Senior High School claims that the accuracy, fluency and appropriateness of oral English should be all emphasized in senior high school. However,in the teaching practice, most teachers pay more attention to the meaning of oral expression, ignoring the accuracy, fluency and appropriateness. On the one hand, some teachers hold the teaching concept that there is no need to correct high school students’ oral errors. On the other hand, they lack the theoretical guidance and teaching strategies. Therefore, this paper suggests that high school English teachers should attach importance to the corrective feedback for oral English, and improve the teaching strategies and effects under the guidance of corrective feedback theory,so as to avoid the solidification of students’ oral errors, which will affect the accuracy, fluency and appropriateness of oral expression. The connotation of corrective feedback for oral language includes teachers’ discovery and analysis of students’ oral errors, teachers’ pointing out and correcting students’ oral errors, and students’ response to teachers’ oral corrective feedback.Through literature research, classroom observation, interview and case analysis,it’s found that some teachers’ concept for oral corrective feedback is wrong, and that some teachers’ theoretical knowledge is weak.Teachers’ oral English deficiency affects the corrective feedback and their teaching strategies need to be improved. Therefore, teachers should pay more attention to oral corrective feedback, supplement their related theoretical knowledge, improve their own oral English level and use artificial intelligence tools to weaken the influence of their own oral English defects on corrective feedback, and improve their teaching strategies for oral corrective feedback.Studies have shown that whether students’ oral errors need to be corrected depends on their education stage. The speaking ability of primary and junior high school students is limited,so teachers don’t need to fully emphasize the accuracy, fluency, and appropriateness. However, for high school students, teachers should properly conduct corrective feedback on their oral errors under the guidance of oral corrective feedback theory,so as to improve students’ oral English comprehensively and effectively. |
