The Embodiment Of Technology-the Presentation And Interpretation Of Science Fiction Text To Virtual Reality

As an indispensable part of human culture,science fiction text composed of science fiction literature and science fiction films plays an important role in exploring the unknown,exploring the future and exploring the meaning of human existence.Science fiction literature expands the boundary of human thinking through the fantasy of the future and the exploration of the unknown,and provides ideological support and guidance for the development of science and technology in real life.Science fiction film and television,on the other hand,transform the imagination of literary works on paper into real images through rich visual effects,vivid characterization and interesting story plots,leading the audience into a new unknown world and making people feel the infinite possibilities brought by science and technology.At the same time,science fiction texts constantly reflect on the value and influence of human civilization and technological development.In this process,technology has become an important factor in science fiction texts and films.Emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence,virtual reality,augmented reality,biological transformation and brain interface research have appeared in more and more science fiction works.Technology has brought new means of expression to science fiction works through the form of embodied existence.It also makes people more intuitive to understand the impact and change of science and technology on human life.Taking the embodied existence of technology in science fiction texts as the starting point,this paper studies the impact of technological iterative evolution in science fiction texts on individuals,human society and technology itself,which can be divided into four parts.In the introduction section,the purpose is to discuss the research background.First of all,it defines the content of science fiction text,and briefly summarizes the features of science fiction literature and science fiction film as science fiction text.And the current network information media age technology development trend to make a summary.Secondly,it combs the current research status of technology and science fiction texts from three perspectives: aesthetic perspective,character shaping perspective and technical ethics perspective.Finally,through the exploration of technological development stages in science fiction texts,the exploration of technological philosophy in science fiction texts,and the criticism of technology in science fiction texts,the author tries to understand how technology affects people and society through embodied existence in science fiction texts.From the perspective of historical tracing,this paper firstly combs the development of science fiction literature and film and television in detail,and introduces the contributions made by Mary Shelley,Jules Verne,Wells,John Campbell and Hugo Genbasque to science fiction literature,and follows the three historical stages in the history of science fiction literature.Taking some classic science fiction works as examples,this paper presents the background of the generation of science fiction literature.Secondly,starting from the film and television adaptation of classic science fiction literature,the rapid development of science and technology in reality also promotes the golden age of science fiction films.By enumerating a large number of classic science fiction films,the influence of the development of technology on science fiction films at that time is shown.Finally,based on the technology developed to the present,from three aspects of virtual character technology,artificial intelligence technology and biological transformation technology,the technological development of future science fiction text is prospected.Then this paper further discusses the concrete embodiment of technology in science fiction texts and explains the concept of technology embodiment.Firstly,from Descartes’ mind-body dualism to the development of cognitive science in the 1970 s,this paper explores the historical development of embodied concept.Then,based on the phenomenological research of Don Ede and Merleau-Ponty,this paper determines three concepts of technological embodied concept by taking some classic science fiction texts as examples.That is,the perfect combination of technology and people,the virtual world realized by the self-operation of technology,and the re-creation of technology in the virtual and real worlds.And through the science fiction text to explain how technology as a tool of neutral existence and perfect cooperation,to self-consciousness awakening,alienation and invasion of human beings,and ultimately may subvert and control the whole human society.From the perspective of philosophy of technology,the interpretation of the relationship between technology and human beings in science fiction texts,the logic of the development and evolution of technology and the ultimate form of existence in the future can provide a general reference for the future presentation of technology embodied from the perspective of methodology.Firstly,the historical origin and development of how technology is endowed with philosophical meaning in science fiction texts are reviewed.Secondly,through the theoretical construction of Carl Mitchum’s philosophy of technology,this paper explains the difference between the two philosophies of technology.Finally,combining the media ecology theory of Neil Postman and Foucault’s "power" discipline theory with classic science fiction texts,this paper reveals the consequences of the technology in science fiction texts losing the control of science ethics on human beings and society.In some people’s imagination of the future technology,such visions as future technology convergence seem to be the perfect world to be achieved.However,the technology embodied existence shown in science fiction text is not as perfect as imagined,and its formation and integration with human society also need to go through the baptism of time.From the "other" controlled and hostile by human beings to the awakening of their own subject consciousness,they become another "self" in human society.Technology goes out of control under the hostility,and human beings fall into the "sandbox fantasy" created by technology.Or will the embodied existence of human and technology realize equal communication,and eventually move towards the "Brave New World" where technology and human society are integrated.
