As the highest peak of Chinese classical poetry,Tang poetry not only has a profound impact on Chinese poetry, but also radiates to Vietnam, laying the foundation for the tradition of Vietnamese Chinese poetry before the Mo Dynasty(1010—1527).The titles of Vietnamese Chinese poems before the Mo Dynasty are basically the same as those of Tang poems, with highly concise content and artistic charm. In order to express freely,it inherits Du Fu’s "essay-style short poem title" method. In the Vietnamese Chinese poems before the Mo Dynasty, the festive poems, inscription poems, and early-dynasty poems all showed the inheritance of Tang poems with the same theme in terms of chapter structure, image allusions, and artistic techniques. The Vietnamese poets before the Mo Dynasty learned the language expressions of the Tang Dynasty, and flexibly used language skills such as redundancies, color words, repetition of the same word, and "every sentence in a quatrain is opposite" to enhance the artistic effect of poetry.Vietnamese poets before the Mo Dynasty studied the syntax of Tang poetry, using progressions to express twists and turns of feeling and lists of imagery to set the mood. They use neat couplets,sound-or meaning-based couplets, flowing couplets, dangling couplets,double-rhyming couplets, stacked rhyming couplets, and joint-mian couplets to create neatly composed metrical poems.Vietnamese Chinese poetry before the Mo Dynasty inherited the Tang poetry style of scene composition, seeking a harmonious pictorial beauty from a variety of opposing factors such as changes in distance, large and small, light and shade, sound and color, cause and effect, movement and stillness. The poets studied the Tang’s grasp of the relationship between scenes, using the transfer of emotions into scenes, the blending of scenes, and the use of scenes as a conclusion to create a harmonious and vivid mood. The Vietnamese poets before the Mo Dynasty learned the words and sentences of Tang poetry, and used Tang poetry many times.Sometimes, they directly used the ready-made verses from Tang poems. The most common way was to change the words of Tang poems, expand or reduce them, put the verses of several Tang poets in one poem, reverse them, straighten out the whole poem, use the rhythm of the verses instead of the meaning of the verses, and so on,to achieve the purpose of "transforming the meaning".Before the Mo Dynasty, the most popular poet in Vietnam was Du Fu.In addition to Du Fu’s poems, many familiar poems of the Tang Dynasty were also used by Vietnamese poets before the Mo Dynasty.
