| Xu Qinwen,a writer from eastern Zhejiang province,has written for 60 years and has written a lot of works.He has made great achievements in the fields of local novels,psychoanalysis novels,war novels,essays and literary theory,and has been influential in the history of modern and contemporary Chinese literature.Looking at his overall creations,it is not difficult to find that local novels occupy an important position,and he has also been able to occupy a place in the history of literature as a local literature author.As a student of Lu Xun,Xu Qinwen inherited Lu Xun’s creative spirit,analyzing the ignorance of peasants and the people at the bottom of society.He recalled the people and events of his hometown in a prose cultural tone,writing about the sufferings in words that reveal nostalgia.It not only maintains the common background of the writers in eastern Zhejiang province,but also has a unique personal style of local writing.This paper takes Xu Qinwen’s life experience in Shaoxing and his study experience in Beijing as the starting point,and focuses on his novels during the period of local literature creation.On the one hand,it focuses on analyzing the theme,ideological connotation,and artistic skills of his local novels through the method of text reading;On the other hand,the paper attempt to analyze Xu Qinwen’s local writing from the perspectives of sociology and folklore,and investigate the connotation of his literary creation through interdisciplinary research.The paper is divided into three parts.The introduction section introduces the research significance,research ideas,current research status,research methods and innovative points.The main body includes three chapters.The first chapter explores the contingency and inevitability of Xu Qinwen’s literary career by investigating his early life experience.The artistic influence he received during his childhood and adolescence had a far-reaching impact on his choice;With the deepening of the national crisis,the May 4th New Culture had an unprecedented driving force,deeply stimulating Xu Qinwen’s pursuit of personal ideals;The support of Lu Xun was an important part of Xu Qinwen’s ability to enter the 20 th century literary world and stand out among numerous local writers.This chapter explores in detail the indispensable factors for Xu Qinwen to become a local literature author through historical research.The second chapter analyzes the thematic implications in Xu Qinwen’s local novels.This chapter takes his works during the period of rural literature creation as the research object,selects representative rural novels,and explores Xu Qinwen’s deep nostalgia for his hometown and sympathy for the tragic fate of hometown people due to his physical and mental wandering.It also explores Xu Qinwen’s grief,anger,and criticism of the rural system and cultural tradition as an awakened intellectual.This chapter elaborates on the presentation of these two contradictory attitudes in his works through text analysis.The third chapter is about the summary of Xu Qinwen’s writing skills in local novels.With the enrichment of creative experience,Xu Qinwen’s creative skills became more mature,and his style became more realistic.His novels not only have the common background of local literature,but also exhibit extraordinary local characteristics,prose style,satirical art,and tragic colors in styles,demonstrating a unique personality color.The conclusion section points out the inheritance and continuation of local literature by Xu Qinwen,highlights the limitations of Xu Qinwen’s local novels,analyzes the reasons for the limitations,and also reflects on the shortcomings of this topic.As the essence of Chinese society,Local novels are not only the main context of the development of Chinese literature in the 20 th century,but also an important carrier for writers to care for the people at the bottom of society and trace their nostalgia.Exploring Xu Qinwen’s c local creations can provide an indispensable aspect for a comprehensive understanding of Xu Qinwen’s literary creations,also has profound and broad significance for exploring Lu Xun’s influence on local writers in the 1920 s. |
