Multiculturalism has caused the blurring of cultural boundaries,which provided conditions for the emergence of cultural identity crisis.In this context,the dissemination of traditional culture has become the pivotal way to solve the crisis of cultural identity.Cultural programs focus on traditional culture,and they are important ways to construct cultural identity."Dunhuang! Glory is back" is the first cultural program which focuses on Dunhuang in addition to documentaries,and it has achieved great effect.Therefore,based on the theory of cultural memory,this paper analyzes the content,strategies and effect of its cultural identity construction by text analysis and content analysis to provide suggestions for other cultural programs and cultural heritage.In terms of content,the program strives to present traditional cultural memory in multiple perspectives,and it presents spiritual cultural memory,leisure food cultural memory,clothing cultural memory,folk cultural memory and historical cultural memory.They have several things in common: conform to the mainstream values;have practical significance;have Chinese characteristics and young people are interested in them.In terms of strategy,it constructs the rituals,spaces and emotions of cultural memory by media rituals,multiple spaces and audio-visual languages,in order to connect reality,country,groups,and audience,and finally constructs cultural identity.In the part of ritual construction,it provides the audience with a common ritual space and sublimates the theme.In the part of space construction,it shows the practical significance of cultural memory;builds a historical space through scene reproduction such as character rehearsal and animation technology;and uses the Internet to construct an interactive space which strengthens cultural memory and connects individuals and groups.In the part of emotional construction,in the visual field,it shows cultural memory and creates an atmosphere through different scenes,colors and subtitles.In the auditory field,it connects memories by human voice and stimulates the emotional resonance of the audience by music.In terms of effect,this paper takes the reviews on Douban as samples,and analyzes them from cognition,emotion and behavior.It is found that most people have an identity at the emotional level,followed by the cognitive level,and finally the behavioral level.It shows that the program has achieved certain results in cultural identity,but its influence on the behavioral level is relatively limited.The reviews also reflects the shortcomings of the program.For example,some viewers think that the memory is fragmented and the expression is too entertaining,etc,which should be improved in the future.“Dunhuang! Glory is back” provides some enlightenment for the similar programs.On the one hand,cultural programs must deeply explore the connotation of traditional culture;at the same time,it’s necessary to balance the cultural and entertaining aspects of the program;in addition,the communication channels must be broadened,which can expand the influence of culture.On the other hand,in comparison with other programs,it is found that the dissemination effect of cultural programs which are about cultural heritage will be affected by the popularity of cultural heritage.Therefore,cultural heritage should be more publicized to rejuvenate the ancient culture.Specifically,it’s necessary to accelerate the process of digitalization to achieve digital communication and develop cultural and creative industries,etc.
