Research On Cultural Communication Of Gulin Lanterns From The Perspective Of Ritual Communication

Gulin lanterns are a seasonal and festive cultural activity that is popular in Gulin County,Luzhou City,Sichuan Province.It is mainly based on folk dance performances.It integrates Han dance,music,drama,rap and other cultures.In recent years,it has greatly enriched the cultural life of the local people.The whole process of the generation,evolution and development of Gulin lanterns shows the folk cultural creativity of the Gulin people and their outstanding contributions to folk culture.Gulin lanterns are not only a dissemination activity to transmit information,but also a ritual behavior with shared meaning,which has shaped a unique regional culture for a long time.Therefore,from the perspective of ritual communication,this paper finds that Gulin lanterns have the characteristics of ritual communication summarized by Rosenbull from the theoretical analysis,organizes the historical evolution of Gulin lanterns according to interviews and documentary records,and conducts field investigations and in-depth interviews.The research method analyzes the ritual presentation of Gulin lanterns from the aspects of ritual communication subjects,ritual communication media,and ritual communication procedures,and further examines the influence of Gulin lanterns as ritual communication activities on local society and culture.Then,the ritual function and significance of Gulin lanterns are discussed from the aspects of ritual behavior of social communication,cultural performance of interactive rituals,and educational discipline of singing lyrics and tunes.Learn how Gulin lanterns create cultural and emotional sharing among participants.From this,it can be concluded that Gulin lanterns have the ritual function of promoting local multi-ethnic integration,emotional cohesion,and social integration.At the same time,it was found that Gulin lanterns,as a shared ritual,not only shared beliefs in filial piety and religious concepts,but also shared common values,common cultural memory and strong identity.Finally,from the presentation,function and meaning of ritual communication,it is found that Gulin lanterns have difficulties such as the lack of ritual cognition,the dissolution of ritual purpose and the dilution of ritual meaning.The "creative transformation and innovative development" policy proposed by the central government for the dissemination and inheritance of Chinese excellent traditional culture solves the above dilemma from the aspects of transforming the main thinking of ceremonial dissemination,innovating the inheritance system,and creating media ceremonies,etc.,and helps Gulin lanterns to explore future development prospects.
