| The emphasis of vernacular in early Modern Chinese Poetry writing far exceeded the attention to the noumenon of poetry.The lack of noumenon art construction of poetry seriously hindered the value orientation of Modern Chinese Poetry in Chinese Modern and Contemporary Literature.At this time,the Western Pure Poetry Theory,which explored the poetic art around "poetry as poetry",entered the vision of Chinese poetics,in order to eliminate the non-poetic factors in Modern Chinese Poetry and highlight the characteristics of poetic style.However,the difference between chinese and western poetic environment leads to the value shift of pure poetry.For western pure poetry critics,pure poetry as the ultimate ideal of poetry only has theoretical significance,while Chinese pure poetry critics based on the need to standardize the artistic order of Modern Chinese Poetry,prefer to obtain the artistic model of Modern Chinese Poetry from writing practice,thus expanding the practical significance of pure poetry.In the history of Modern Chinese Poetry,Mu Mutian is the forerunner of pure poetics.He proposed to use "poetic thinking" to organize poetry,hoping to cut off the path of non-poetic factors into the poetry world from the ideological source and achieve the boundary between poetry and prose.However,the squeeze of the realistic environment made Mu Mutian turn and throw himself into the trend of realistic poetry creation,and the task of constructing pure poetry theory was handed over to Liang Zongdai.With his special experience of studying in France and profound Chinese traditional literary literacy,Liang Zongdai integrated the Western Pure Poetry Theory with Chinese traditional poetics,and truly constructed a Chinese pure poetry theory system with national color.Mu Mutian and Liang Zongdai’s pure poetry poetics takes pure poetry as a methodology to improve the art of Modern Chinese Poetry to solve the problem of artistic deficiency faced by Modern Chinese Poetry,which has important guiding significance.At the same time,New Moon Verse School and Chinese Symbolic Poetry School also carried out the exploration of syllable form and the extension of symbolic art around the artistic goal of pure poetry,and completed the reversal of the "prose" tendency of vernacular poetry in the early stage.However,in the later stage,their poetry is facing another poetic problem of formalization and obscurity.In this regard,Liang Zongdai made a profound poetic reflection.He advocated the poet’s examination of inner life and avoided the formalization and procedure of Modern Chinese Poetry writing with the integration of personal life experience and poetry-conception.Until the 1930 s,Chinese Modernist Poetry School entered the conscious creation stage of pure poetic art with the mutual evidence and integration of poetic theory and writing practice.Chinese pure poetic writing finally showed the characteristics of the pluralistic integration of romanticism,realism,symbolism and modernism,and the art of Modern Chinese Poetry gradually matured.In addition,Li Jianwu’s critical practice based on Modernist poetry enriches the modernity content of pure poetry and expands the theoretical category of pure poetry.What can be rooted in the soil of Chinese culture is by no means a replica of Western literature and art.The localization construction of Chinese pure poetry poetics finally presents two poetic trends through the interaction of theory and practice: one is the traditional poetics combining "reality,symbol and metaphysics".It not only inherits the tradition of Chinese Realistic Poetry,but also puts forward the requirements for the development of modernization of Modern Chinese Poetry;The other is meta-poetics,which is a coping strategy to deal with the relationship between poetry and reality through language noumenon and writing reflection.Both comprehensive poetics and meta-poetics provide direction guidance for the practical operation of pure poetry.Pure poetry,as an ideal realm of poetry,although there is some nihility,it maintains the value and dignity of poetry noumenon in the discussion of poetics,and is still of great significance to the development of Modern Chinese Poetry theory and writing practice. |
