The book is classified as a secondary category under the Department of History in the ancient Chinese book classification, and the "Zhizhai Shu Lu Jieti" is the beginning of the meaning of Bieshi, and the "Zhongxing Guan ge Shu lu" is the beginning of the name of Bie Shi.After the Song dynasty, most of the official and private catalogues of successive generations had a category of Bieshi. The evolution of the bibliography can be traced to the establishment of the category of Bieshi. The style of writing, the collection of historical materials, and the fusion of documents in the case of Bieshi is also another aspect of bibliographic research. This article focuses on the evolution of the meaning of the sub-catalogues of the History Department and the post-Tang and Song catalogues of the pre-Tang,Tang,and post-Song periods,in order to explore the boundaries and characteristics of the initial establishment of other histories and the process of their development. It is also important to examine the case studies of Bieshi that were written at the same time as the Bieshi. In the Dongdu Shilu, the main chronicles are focused on the imperial edicts, the biographies are arranged according to the events, and the historical treatises are based on the history of the world. It is also an important source for later journals and editions. This is a reflection of the gradual shaping of the boundary of meaning of the Bieshi, and the division of the boundary of meaning of the sub-catalogues of the other histories, such as the Zhengshi and the Zashi.
