A Study On Cross-media Narrative Communication Of Doujin Works

The development of internet technology has led to innovation in narratologies and literary and artistic creation.On the one hand,it has brought broader practical fertile ground for Doujin works,on the other hand,it also makes cross-media narrative possible.In the context of media integration,research on the cross media narrative strategy of IP provides valuable experience for the development of the cultural industry,but there has been little discussion in the academic community on the potential of cross media narrative in Doujin works.Therefore,this paper is committed to solving the question of How to Achieve the Extension of the Story World Through Cross-media Narration in Doujin Works.This paper examines the process of the narration and communication of Doujin works in the context of media integration.This paper selects Doujin novels,Doujin paintings,and Doujin videos from the Harry Potter series of films as the specific research objects.Through participatory observation and in-depth interviews,relevant information about Doujin works is obtained,and the cross-media narrative process is deeply explored.This paper summarizes its innovation in story types,narrative methods,communication frameworks,narrative paths,and narrative dynamics,thus discovering the unique value of cross-media narrative of Doujin works.The findings are as follows: firstly,the Doujin creators use different media forms such as words,images and videos as carriers,and choose different narrative techniques such as quoting,expanding,replacing and transposing according to different story types,and realize the horizontal spread and vertical expansion of the story world in the cycle of narration-retelling-retelling in Doujin works,and extend the original story world while creating the Doujin’s story world.Secondly,the cross-media narration of Doujin works can be divided into two paths: story-centered and role-centered.The storycentered path is the traditional path of cross-media narration of Doujin works,while the role-centered is an innovation of the traditional path.Thirdly,the cross-media narration of Doujin works has dual motivation outside the text and inside the text.Outside the text,the original narrative intention of the creator starts the cross-media narration of Doujin works.After the text is produced,the interaction between the creator and the text,the interaction between the creator and the audience,and the interaction between the audience and the text collectively push forward the narrative process.Finally,in the process of cross-media narration,Doujin works not only extend the original story world,but also reflect ethical value,aesthetic value and social value.
