Research On The Image Creation Of Villain Characters In Korean Crime Dramas (2012-2022)

Since 2012,with the gradual maturity of the Korean TV drama market,the themes and forms of Korean crime dramas have also begun to innovate.Not only have they won the favor of domestic mainstream film and television awards,but they have also gained reputation and status for Korean TV dramas internationally.At present,the portrayal of villain characters in Korean crime dramas has formed its own unique style.Successful villain image creation is the finishing touch to improve the overall quality of crime dramas and add social reflection to the works.This article mainly selects crime-themed TV series that have had a certain influence in South Korea in the past ten years(2012-2022)and have been nominated or awarded for local film and television awards.Using the case analysis method,it analyzes the outstanding villain settings and role types in the works.And according to the three aspects of character behavior construction,character theme strengthening,and character rich connotation,it discusses the excellent villain creation methods in Korean crime drama works from three angles of socialization theme,multi-dimensional narrative,and diversified audio-visual,and expounds Korean crime dramas.The social and cultural value of the theme drama series,and by exploring the current shortcomings of the villain image creation in Korean crime dramas,and combining the advantages and disadvantages of the villain portrayal,discuss the enlightenment it brings to the characterization of the same type of drama in China,making a case-based outlook on the future development of the negative characters in film and television series.Finally,according to the above-mentioned relevant discussion on the shaping of the negative characters in Korean crime dramas,and by adding the practice of self-innovation,it discusses how to practice and apply the skills of the negative characters in the graduation design short film "De Facto Orphan".
