This report of consecutive simulated interpreting is based on the Western Green Ecological Development Forum. This forum, mainly in the form of speeches and round-table dialogues, aims to emphasize that lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets and calls on everyone to contribute to protecting ecological civilization and high-quality development in the western region is of great practical significance. The forum involves many professional and characteristic Chinese words and has a high information density. Some problems emerge in the forum, such as semantic redundancy and logical chaos. All of these are enormous challenges for the interpreter. This report chooses interpretive theory as the guiding theory, based on the triangle model proposed by the theory, and combines it with the cases in this simulation of interpreting practice, analyzing the interpreting strategies adopted in this practice. In the comprehension stage, the interpreter mainly analyzes specific cases in terms of explicit and implicit meanings. In the stage of de-verbalization,the interpreter mainly deals with semantic redundancy and logical chaos. In the repression stage, the interpreter uses the strategy of adding information and omitting information to faithfully and fluently convey the true meaning of the original text.On the one hand, the interpreter aims to analyze the weaknesses of her interpreting and improve her interpreting practice ability through this simulated interpreting practice. On the other hand, the interpreter hopes to contribute to future related interpreting research and provide references.
