During the Ming and Qing Dynasties,Qingshui River was known as an important river in the vast area of "lower Reaches of Guizhou Province".Ethnic relations in the basin were complicated,and the extremely active timber trade between ethnic groups became the basis for the continuous communication,communication and integration between local Miao,Dong and Han ethnic groups.Due to the influence of political and economic factors,qingshui River basin has formed a special timber trade chain of "mountain travelers","three rivers traveling households" and "water travelers",which together wrote the history of timber trade in Qingshui River basin from the Ming Dynasty to the Republic of China.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,this paper is mainly divided into five chapters:The first chapter mainly summarizes the regional advantages of qingshuijiang river basin and the administrative changes in past dynasties,then analyzes the origin and formation of the main ethnic groups in Qingshuijiang River basin before the Ming Dynasty,and finally summarizes the characteristics of ethnic relations in various stages before the rise of timber trade in Qingshuijiang River basin.The second chapter mainly analyzes the composition of ethnic communication relations in the timber trade in qingshuijiang River basin during the Ming and Qing dynasties,and describes in detail the ethnic identity and characteristics of the timber supplier "shanke",the purchaser "shuike" and the intermediary "Sanjiang Xinghu".The third chapter takes the rise and fall of the "three Rivers" system as the clue,analyzes the political,economic and cultural factors,and discusses the whole process of the "three Rivers" in the timber trade from the benign role of a bridge of communication to the vicious change of ethnic communication barriers,and finally to the smooth ethnic communication.The fourth chapter mainly analyzes the ethnic blend in the qingshui river valley timber trade,mainly from the economic life,culture,education,customs,ethnic psychology four dimensions to understand the ethnic mix of qingshui river basin,and with all ethnic groups,the communion between the living pattern of miao,dong people also shift towards both mixed population more than the han Chinese population.Fifth chapter first analyzes the ethnic relationship between stability and timber trade development of the dialectical relationship and the characteristics of ethnic relations in timber trade,finally summarized the qingshui river valley of timber trade on the local ethnic relations history,not only strengthen the scenic area links with the mainland,also promote economic and cultural exchange of all ethnic groups of the qingshui river basin,It also changed the way of production and life and economic concepts of local ethnic minorities.By taking the timber trade during the Ming and qing dynasties qingshui river basin as the background,to form mountain guest,sanjiang of timber trade chain lines,water guest as the main research object,excavate its ethnic identity,to analyze its ethnic relations in the qingshui river valley in the timber trade building,by tracking system of "three rivers" the rise and fall of "mountain" and "water" in the timber trade in the process of ethnic communication,Finally,the dialectical relationship and characteristics between timber trade and ethnic relations and the historical role of timber trade in the development of ethnic relations in qingshui River Basin are summarized.
