Attention function is closely related to People’s Daily life and plays an important role in completing almost all cognitive activities.Exercise has different promoting effects on attention network function and its three sub-functions.Most studies believe that exercise has a promoting effect on executive control function,but the results are different on alertness network and orientation network.The reason for this result may be that different types of exercise have different effects on attention network function.By combing previous studies,it is found that,first of all,the objects of such studies are usually athletes,the elderly or patients and other special groups,and the experimental results are not necessarily applicable to college students.There are few studies on the selection of college students as experimental participants and the results are different,so it is still unable to fully demonstrate whether different types of exercise intervention can have an impact on the attention network function of college students.Secondly,most of the studies on the differences in attention network function between different types of exercise are behavioral studies,and lack of discussion on its brain mechanism.Based on this,this study will explore whether different types of exercise intervention will have an impact on the attention network function of college students through two experiments,as well as the brain mechanism differences in the attention network function of college students with different types of exercise training for a long time.In study 1,48 college students qualified for the study were invited as participants and randomly divided into an open skill exercise group(n=21)and a closed skill exercise group(n=22).The attention network test was used to evaluate the three attention network functions of the subjects before and after the 8-week exercise intervention.The results showed that there were significant differences in the executive control network between the open skill exercise group and the closed skill exercise group(p<0.01),but no significant differences in the alertness network and the orientation network,suggesting that different types of exercise intervention in the long term can effectively improve the attention network function of college students,and the open skill exercise group has a better promoting effect on the executive control network.In study 2,college students who have been engaged in open skill exercise training(n=25)and closed skill exercise training(n=24)for a long time were invited to explore the internal mechanism affecting the difference in attention network function between open skill exercise and closed skill exercise combined with f NIRS.The results showed that there were significant differences between the open skill exercise group and the closed skill exercise group in the executive control network and the vigilance network(p<0.01).The activation of the prefrontal cortex in the open skill exercise group was significantly higher than that in the closed skill exercise group(p< 0.05),and the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex was significantly activated.It can be seen that,compared with closed skill exercise,open skill exercise has a more significant promoting effect on the executive control network function of attention,and can improve the speed and accuracy of cognitive processing.Moreover,the improvement of neural activity in the brain area of the open skill exercise group was consistent with the improvement of executive control,suggesting that the enhanced dorsolateral prefrontal nerve activity in individuals engaged in open skill exercise may lead to higher executive control efficiency.The results of this study enrich the progress in the fields related to different sports classification,so that the follow-up researchers can find the basis for designing different sports types.f NIRS was used to further reveal the brain mechanism of the influence of different exercise types on the function of attention network,providing brain neuroscience evidence for the formulation of relevant prescriptions.
