| Latin dance has developed very rapidly in recent years and has become one of the events of the Asian Games. With the continuous development of Latin dance, the level of competition of Latin dance athletes is increasing, and the attention of coaches and athletes from different countries to the technical details of the movements is also increasing. As an important part of the Latin dance movement technique, the rotation technique is an important link between the dance movements and is an indispensable part of the competition set.Rotation requires the co-ordination of many parts of the body, and its technical level and quality of completion directly affects the performance of the set.The Functional Movement Screening is a method of assessing the basic movement patterns of the human body.Through the seven movement tests, the test subjects’ deficiencies in flexibility and stability,as well as their areas of limitation, are identified in a targeted manner,so that potential movement compensation problems can be analysed, thus improving the weak chains and limitations of the athlete’s body, ensuring that the body’s power chain system functions perfectly and improving motor skills and performance. The aim is to improve the body’s weak chains and limitations,to ensure that the body’s kinetic chain system functions well, and to improve motor skills and performance.Although the level of development of Latin dance in China is constantly approaching that of the top countries, there is still a gap in general. At present, most of the Latin dance training in China is still focused on the basic technical movements and the practice of complete sets of movements, and the combination of functional body training and traditional Latin dance technical training is less. This paper hopes to explore a more efficient theory-guided practice training method for Latin dance rotation technique through scientific and reasonable theoretical research and experiments, and to form a corresponding theory.Latin dance spin technique is the key link to enhance the artistic expression of complete works of dance, and is also the focus of judges’ scoring attention in competitions. In this paper,by establishing the movement trajectory model of the representative rotation technique of outstanding Latin dance athletes, and comparing the movement trajectory of the same movement of the subjects before and after the FMS test and targeted training with that of outstanding Latin dance athletes, the movement trajectory of core rotation movements will be analysed and the training means and testing method will be integrated into the daily training of Latin dance students,so as to enhance the training level and training effect of the students in this technique. This paper uses literature and comparative analysis to analyse the movement trajectory of the core rotation technique. In this paper, five Latin dance rotational techniques were selected as test movements through literature, comparative analysis, testing and experimental research methods: quarter turn, fixed point turn, spiral turn,American sharp turn and flat turn for a fortnight. With the displacement of the centre of gravity, the angular changes of the body joints and the maximum angular speed of the hip joint 20 students specialised in Latin dance were the subjects of the study and the experiment was carried out for their 8 weeks. The effect of FMS-based functional training on the quality of Latin dance rotation movements was explored by comparing the movement trajectories with those of four outstanding Latin dancers before and after the experiment, and the following conclusions were drawn:(1)The four outstanding Latin dance athletes showed certain commonalities through the FMS test: their hip, knee and ankle joints had strong symmetry and flexibility, the posterior leg muscle groups had good is flexibility, and the unilateral support leg showed good stability as well as excellent balance ability when the lower limbs were doing asymmetrical movements. The thoracic spine and the right and left shoulder joints have good extension. The bilateral shoulder joints have a large range of motion and there is good extension and flexibility of the scapula and thoracic spine. However, the stability of the trunk in the sagittal plane during symmetrical movements of the upper limbs and the stability of the trunk in multiple dimensions during simultaneous movements of the upper and lower limbs were slightly weaker.(2)After eight weeks of intervention training, the experimental group of specialised students improved their mean score on the FMS test by 2.7 points, and their mean score on the seven tested movements improved. This indicates that the training can strengthen the ability of the Latin dance students to work closely with all body parts, and help to improve the flexibility and stability of the shoulder, knee, ankle and hip joints, and the symmetry of the left and right limbs were all improved.(3)The greatest improvement in the displacement of the centre of gravity in the five rotational movements was seen in the spiral rotation, with significant changes in the "X","Y" and "Z" axes.It is also closer to the best athletes. In the quarter turn, the American sharp turn and the flat turn, the change in the "Z axis" was more significant, but there was no significant change before and after the fixed point turn;(4)The intervention training improved the flexion and extension of the shoulder joint in the quarter turn and the internal and external rotation of the hip joint;the flexion and extension of the shoulder joint in the fixed turn, the internal and external abduction of the left shoulder and the internal and external rotation of the hip joint;the flexion and extension of the hip joint in the spiral turn, the rotation and the flexion and extension of the right knee improved more. The American sharp turn improves the flexion and extension, adduction and abduction of the left shoulder, flexion and extension, rotation of the hip and flexion and extension of the right knee. The flat rotation for a fortnight increased the change in hip flexion and extension angles.(5)After the intervention training, the maximum angular velocity of the hip joint was improved in all five movements and the improvement was obvious. |
