Research On The Identity Of Sacrificial Space In Village Group With The Small Surname

For a long time,the research on local society is mostly based on the villages of the big clan,but pay less attention to villages with small surname,which is obviously not conducive to a complete and comprehensive understanding of local society.Only analyzing a village with small surname is not conducive to understanding the local society from the perspective of synchronicity,and the research data of a village with small surname is less,so it is necessary to carry out regional research on the village group with small surname.There is a village group with small surname in the northern hills of Yiyang County,northeast Jiangxi Province.It is a "Si Jie" village alliance jointly established by seven villages with small surname,and it is also a "Si Jie" sacrificial space under the connection of the belief of Generals Xu and Zhu.The local people form a sense of identity with the sacrificial space of the "Si Jie" under the joint effect of collective memory,public buildings and belief rituals.This paper is divided into six parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly introduces the origin and significance of the study,the research status,the research framework and methods,the theoretical basis,the research innovations,indicating that the study focuses on the formation of the spatial identity of sacrifice in a village group with small surname.The second part is the basic situation of the field,mainly introducing the natural geographical environment and social and cultural environment,including the physical geography,village distribution,the origin of "Si Jie" and basic information of villages with different surnames and so on.The third part is the collective memory that fosters the identity of sacrificial space.The collective memory includes the memory of the struggle between the small and big clan villages,the memory of the story of the origin of the faith of Generals Xu and Zhu,the memories of the divine construction of the belief in Generals Xu and Zhu.Specifically,the memories of mutual struggle among villages promotes the unity of small villages for survival,the memories related to the belief in gods demonstrate the village relationships within the village alliance with small surname of "Si Jie",as well as the roles and positions of each small surname village in the "Si Jie" alliance,and the divine construction of memories also established the sacred status of Generals Xu and Zhu.The fourth part is that the public buildings in the village set up the identity of sacrificial space The general temple,Land-temple and the stage are the concrete space of the sacrificial space of "Si Jie",which promote the formation of the identity of the sacrificial space of "Si Jie".First of all,the villagers’ sense of identity has been deepened by participating in the reconstruction of the general temple.Secondly,Land-temple is conducive to the stability of the identity of the whole "Si Jie" sacrificial space by condensing the identity of the sacrificial space of a single village with small surname.Finally,the stage provides a foothold for ritual activities.The fifth part is that belief rituals strengthen the identity of sacrificial space.This ceremonial activity includes the god pageant ceremony of Generals Xu and Zhu,the sacrificial activity of the Land Gods before the new year,and the sacrificial activity of Generals Xu and Zhu after the new year.the performance of the god pageant ceremony enables the people to perceive themselves in the sacrificial space from a variety of senses,and the physical practice year after year continuously strengthens the people’s recognition of the sacrificial space.The sixth part is the analysis of the factors that make the sense of identity of the sacrificial space of "Si Jie" continue,including promoting factors and hindering factors.In addition,the author also makes certain prospects for the development of the village group with small surname of "Si Jie",that is,only through joint development can scale effects and agglomeration advantages be fully utilized.
