The report of the 20 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China points out that it is necessary to continuously enhance the people’s sense of gain,happiness,and security.Happiness,as an important issue related to the work and life of the people,has been widely concerned by the Party and the country.At the same time,during the period of rapid physical and psychological development in high school,the development of mental health has also received widespread attention and attention.In recent years,the level of psychological well-being has gradually become an important indicator of individual mental health and physical and mental harmony and sustainable development.As an inherently positive psychological quality,gratitude plays a catalytic role in promoting psychological well-being.At the same time,self-esteem is closely related to gratitude and psychological well-being.This study will explore the impact of collective self-esteem and individual self-esteem from the perspective of social groups.Based on a positive perspective,explore the factors that affect high school students’ psychological well-being and the influencing mechanisms,in order to better promote the development of high school students’ psychological well-being.This study used the gratitude scale,collective self-esteem scale,self-esteem scale,and psychological well-being index scale to conduct a questionnaire survey on 485 high school students to explore the impact of gratitude on psychological well-being of high school students,the impact mechanism of collective self-esteem and individual self-esteem,and whether there are differences in gender,grade,and whether they are only children.The research results show that:(1)There are significant gender differences in the level of gratitude and collective self-esteem of high school students;(2)Both gratitude and individual self-esteem of high school students can significantly positively predict psychological well-being,while collective self-esteem cannot significantly predict psychological well-being;(3)Individual self-esteem plays a partial mediating role in the relationship between gratitude and psychological well-being,while collective self-esteem does not exist;(4)Collective self-esteem and individual self-esteem play a chain mediating role between gratitude and psychological well-being;(5)There are differences in the chain mediated model between the sexes of high school students.The chain mediated effect is significant for boys,but not significant for girls;There are differences in the chain mediated model between the grades of high school students,with the mediation effect value of the first grade being higher than that of the second grade;There are differences in the chain mediating models of whether high school students are only children or not.The chain mediating effect of only children is significant,while the chain mediating effect of non only children is not significant.Based on the research results,it is concluded that there is still room for improvement in the level of psychological well-being of high school students;There are differences in gratitude and collective self-esteem between boys and girls,with girls being higher than boys;High school students’ collective self-esteem and individual self-esteem play a chain mediating role in gratitude and psychological well-being.Therefore,the following educational suggestions are proposed: We should attach importance to gratitude education and increase the practical application of gratitude in our learning and life;Helping students grow in groups in an all-round way and enhancing their collective self-esteem;Guide students to correctly understand themselves and enhance individual self-esteem;And adopt different educational measures for different groups of students.
