| There are various means of expressing information structure, such as lexical, rhyme and syntactic transformations, among which rhyme means are mandatory. In this paper,we focus on the relationship between syntactic transformations and rhythmic means, and study the rhythmic realization of syntactic transformations. In this paper,we use the method of phonological experiments, refer to the experimental paradigm of rhyme pattern, and take Mandarin and Luoshan dialect as the experimental materials. The experimental sample sentences are four groups of sentences formed by syntactic transformation of natural focus declarative sentences, and examine the rhyme pattern by two aspects of pitch and duration, and analyze the pitch and duration patterns from two perspectives of static distribution and dynamic change. The experimental results showed that the syntactic transformations in Mandarin had little effect on the pitch pattern of the sentences, mainly in the middle and end of the sentences, and less on the duration pattern, mainly in the middle of the sentences;in the Luoshan dialect the syntactic transformations had little effect on the pitch pattern of the sentences, mainly in the beginning and middle of the sentences, and basically less on the duration pattern, mainly in the middle of the sentences. In contrast, both in Mandarin and in the Luoshan dialect, there is a tendency for the pitch to dip downward, and the syllable duration at the beginning of the sentence is lengthened. However, there are also differences between the two languages.Due to the influence of pronunciation materials, the tone range of sentence-final words in Mandarin is larger and the duration is extended, while the tone range of sentence-final words in the dialect is smaller and the duration is not extended.By analyzing and comparing the experimental results of Mandarin and Luoshan dialects,it was found that the effect of syntactic transformation on rhyme patterns was mainly at the micro level and had little effect on the overall macro level. The rhyme patterns of the syntactic transformations were similar in pitch and duration at the macro level, and there was no significant difference in the linguistic meaning, which led to the conclusion that the syntactic transformations had little effect on the rhyme patterns. |
