A Study Of Chinese Euphemism Based On HSK

Euphemism is a widespread linguistic phenomenon in Chinese.Second language learners are inevitably exposed to euphemism in the process of learning Chinese.However,it is found in the teaching that although the middle and advanced international students have mastered certain grammar rules and expressions,their Chinese is still not authentic,and they often have awkward situations when communicating with native Chinese speakers.The reason is that foreign students lack the correct use of euphemism.Due to the lack of understanding and use of euphemism,foreign students will be hindered in daily communication,and will lose serious marks in the exam because they do not understand the real intention of the speaker in the listening dialogue.Therefore,this paper will combine euphemism with HSK test,and select euphemism from HSK real questions over the years for detailed analysis.The study of euphemism requires a certain process,and the euphemism in the test is concentrated in the listening test type with daily spoken English as the corpus.Therefore,this paper takes the middle and advanced international students who have a certain Chinese language foundation as the research object,and selects the new HSK Level 5,which has the largest number of students and serves as the proof of their Ability to learn Chinese in Chinese colleges and universities,as the research scope.This paper analyzes the euphemism in the real listening test and the simulated practice test,in order to help the foreign students understand euphemism better and improve their listening comprehension ability.The paper is divided into four chapters:Chapter one is the introduction.By summarizing the research status of euphemism at home and abroad,analyzing the research status of euphemism in Teaching Chinese as a foreign language and HSK test,the research object and scope of this paper are determined,and the research purpose,significance and method are briefly introduced.Chapter two analyzes the presentation types of euphemism in the new HSK Level5 listening test.This paper analyzes the euphemism in the new HSK level 5 listening comprehension test from the perspective of communicative topics and composition.Communicative topics are mainly divided into daily life,professional work and study,and constitute means mainly including lexical semantic means,rhetorical means,grammatical means and pragmatic means.Chapter three makes statistics of the occurrence of euphemism in the new HSK level 5 listening test.This paper makes a quantitative analysis of the frequency of investigation on topics and ways of formation of euphemism in HSK test to help learners understand the focus of investigation.Chapter four is an investigation of the mastery and use of euphemism.By means of questionnaire,interview and corpus survey,the errors in euphemism acquisition of foreign students are comprehensively investigated and analyzed.The fifth chapter mainly puts forward some strategies and methods from the aspects of examination preparation,euphemism acquisition,examination guidance and teaching,to further promote the combination of teaching and examination.
