Research On The Application Of Ceramic Materials In Chinese Sculpture Language In The Context Of Contemporary Art

Chinese ceramic art has a long history and culture.In the context of contemporary art,with the change of artists’ ideas,they are constantly trying and innovating,showing an art form completely different from the traditional style.The involvement of ceramic materials in contemporary art has broken through the ideological category of traditional ceramic art,and attracted artists with its unique cultural attributes and texture characteristics.The creation of ceramic art is a "dialogue" between the artist’s hand and mud,mud and glaze,and kiln fire.It is in the controllable and uncontrollable factors,which is a process full of unknown.Based on the author’s creative experience,this paper discusses the material language in the creation of contemporary ceramic sculpture as the core,and starts with the impact of the renewal of the application of ceramic materials in contemporary sculpture and the diversity of forms of expression on the sculpture language.Artistic creation needs to keep up with The Times,artists need to stand in the contemporary social and cultural environment,to think about the traditional and contemporary,and explore the diversity of ceramic materials in sculpture creation.The works contain different ideas,forms of expression,combined with the artist’s personal experience to show the contemporary art of ceramic materials more comprehensive interpretation.By consulting relevant ceramic materials and contemporary ceramic sculpture books and materials,the author selected representative artists’ materials and works in the creation of ceramic sculpture,sorted out the forms and expressions of ceramic materials’ involvement in contemporary art creation,and summarized the commonness and personality of The Times conveyed by the artist’s works language in the diversified creation subjects and aesthetic expressions.The intervention of science and technology in the creation of ceramic art and the exploration of artists have promoted the combination of interdisciplinary fields of ceramic sculpture and brought new ways of shaping and forming.They have made breakthroughs in raw materials,shaping methods,firing processes,exhibitions and other aspects,and constantly broken through the existing ways of creation and expression with the help of different manufacturing processes,enriching the expression of contemporary ceramic sculpture language.Based on this,the author tries to break through the old category of discussion on ceramic art,transform the unique properties of ceramic materials into the purpose of discussion,and narrate its performance as a material medium in the language of contemporary sculpture art.The author explores ceramic materials from a holistic and epochal perspective,with the language expression of ceramic materials as the core entry point.The artistic language around material properties in contemporary sculpture is represented as a clue.
