Kim Eun-sook’s Drama Art Study

In recent years,Korean pop culture represented by "Lonely and Brilliant Gods-Ghosts" and "Descendants of the Sun"(referred to as "Hallyu")has had a wide impact around the world,the fundamental reason is that the culture conveyed by Korean TV dramas caters to the taste of the audience,and at the same time,these dramas are warm,valuable and meaningful.As the author of the above-mentioned representative dramas of Korean dramas,Korean screenwriter Kim Eun-sook graduated from the Department of Literary Creation of Seoul National University of the Arts,and her writing skills are skillful,profound and unique,and her works are known as typical Korean TV dramas and have become a unique sample of global TV drama research.This article is divided into six main chapters.The introduction part of the first chapter explains the research background and problems,sorts out the connotation and framework of screenwriting art research from the perspective of "authorship",and summarizes the research significance and research methods of the paper.The second chapter analyzes Kim Eun-suk’s view of play.Show her view of play from her personal experience,creative experience and other aspects.Chapter 3 analyzes Kim Eun-suk’s control of details and emotions in the play,presenting the themes of growing up utopia,strange society,and postmodern landscape,and conveying Kim Eun-suk’s worldview and values.Chapter 4 analyzes the characterization of Kim Eun-suk’s plays.The types of characters in the play are divided,and the distinctive character characteristics created by them are analyzed from three aspects: character language,personality,and relationships.Chapter 5 analyzes the plot structure in Kim Eun-suk’s play.From the aspects of three-act play,classic plot mode,plot intensity,non-linear narrative technique and hypothetical space-time structure,this paper analyzes the logical framework of Kim Eun-suk’s play to construct the overall story.Chapter 6 analyzes Kim Eun-suk’s playmaking art,playwriting style,and cultural influence.Kim Eun-sook is good at adding romanticized emotions to real-life events and curious imaginations in her creations,and tells her from a unique perspective.Her plays are not divorced from reality,but also full of idealistic dreams,forward-looking and entertaining.The storyline in Kim Eun-suk’s drama is set up tightly and imaginatively rich,while continuing the delicate and beautiful emotional expression of Korean dramas,he also creates a narrative mode with great personal characteristics,which gives birth to a new path of love TV drama narrative.This study insists on a large number of detailed interpretations of 15 Kim Eun-sook’s plays.Back to the texts themselves,in the process of having a real in-depth dialogue with the plays,through the analysis and induction of the creation rules and ideas of Kim Eun-sook’s plays,it is expected to provide useful references for the creation of contemporary Chinese TV plays,especially love dramas.
