| Since the beginning of the 21st century, digital technology has continued to develop at a rapid pace as the dominant technological language of human society, and the construction of a digital world has become increasingly complete.Film is an art form created through technological means, and the boundaries and expressions of digital cinema have been broadened and enriched by technological progress.Interactive cinema, which uses human-computer interaction technology to interact with film texts, has attracted a great deal of attention for its novel viewing methods and intense immersive experience. However,at a time when digital technology is moving forward and the art of cinema is constantly practising its art,the development of interactive cinema does not seem to be going as smoothly as expected, and it has even fallen into an impasse that is difficult to break free from at both the theoretical and practical levels. The French philosopher Bernard Stiegler is famous for his research on the philosophy of technology. He studied under the deconstructionist philosopher Jacques Derrida and deconstructed the previous philosophical theories of technology on the basis of a critical reading of them, and combined them with theories from the fields of anthropology and sociology to reconstruct the relationship between technology and human beings cognitively. The prosthetic theory of technology is the basis of Stiegler’s philosophy, which emphasizes the existence of technology as a complementary prosthesis of man,an ’organic inorganic’that compensates for his innate defects and becomes an extracorporeal extension of him, offering a new and viable perspective on the interpretation of technology and technological phenomena. This paper examines interactive cinema in the digital age from the perspective of Technology Prosthesis.Through the development of interactive cinema and its conceptual evolution,it combines the cognitive basis of technology with the phenomenological approach of Technology Prosthesis to provide a Stiglerian interpretation of interactive cinema, which is both technical and artistic. On this basis, the theoretical approach of techno-phenomenology is used to explore the development of interactive cinema in depth and to clarify the development dilemma caused by the misalignment between its innate technological framework and its acquired technological application.Through the organic application of interactive technology,it achieves a cognitive turn in the epistemological level and a narrative turn in the practical field, and on this basis,it emphasizes the contribution of interactive cinema to human society as a social and cultural product. Finally,it explores the interdisciplinary potential and methods of interactive cinema in a highly developed context from a macro perspective. |
