A Study Of The New Changes In The Theory Of "Tong Guang Ti" Poetry

This paper attempts to explain the efforts made by the Tongguangtai poets in their pursuit of modernization,despite ultimately choosing to return to tradition.It aims to provide a detailed analysis of their poetic theories and to highlight the specific contributions they made to the development of traditional poetry.The study focuses on four innovative poets from the Tongguangtai school: Chen Yan,Shen Zengzhi,Chen Sanli,and Zheng Xiaoxu.By comparing their poetic theories with those of other contemporary schools,this paper examines the ways in which they broke away from Confucian culture.The introduction of this paper outlines the motivation for the research and its significance.Chapter 1 begins by analyzing the similarities and differences between the Tongguangtai poets and other traditional schools of poetry during the Republican era.It explores the ways in which the Tongguangtai poets inherited and innovated traditional poetic theories,and discusses the changes in their literary perspectives that reflect a more modern sensibility.Chapter 1 also examines their contributions to the literary scene at the time.Chapter 2 discusses the historical background of the Tongguangtai poets,exploring the environment and literary atmosphere in which they lived.It uncovers the theoretical foundation for their willingness to embrace change,not only rooted in the Song poetic tradition,but also stemming from their exposure to the rich and diverse sources of information available in the urban environment of their time.
