In the 1980 s and 1990 s,secondary normal education provided a large number of good teachers who “can go,can stay,can teach well” for Chinese rural schools.Until now,many graduates of secondary normal schools still stick to the post of rural teachers,which has continuously promoted the development of rural basic education,and become the historical observation and ideal demonstration of improving the training quality of oriented normal university students,stabilizing the rural teacher team and helping the revitalization of rural education in the new era.So,what is the professional quality of normal university students and how to develop it? What is the enlightenment of the successful way to the cultivation of rural oriented normal university students?At present,some studies have summarized the experience of running secondary normal education from the perspective of educators and administrators,but few studies have focused on the experience of developing professional quality of normal students in secondary normal schools from the perspective of learners.Accordingly,this study adopts qualitative research paradigm,mainly using Oral History Method,selecting 20 rural teachers who graduated from secondary normal schools in X Town as the research object,taking the study life of secondary normal schools as the investigation center,and exploring the professional quality of normal school students and the value implication behind their cultivation.Based on the three-dimensional orientation of “retrospection of history,retrospection of effect and recourse to practice”,this study builds an analysis framework with the help of Role-playing Theory and Imprinting Theory,rethinks the traditional giving-receiving relationship between the imposter and the imposter,and tries to construct a new symbiotic relationship between the imposter and the imposter,which serves as an important analysis perspective of this study.It is found that the policy of secondary normal education is the social structural force to promote the cultivation of professional quality of normal university students.In this context,the cultivation of professional quality of normal university students is the result of the interaction between the individual and the environment.Specifically,school training objectives,school culture,school curriculum,school management and other organizational factors with secondary normal schools as the axis have an important role structure for normal university students to develop professional quality;The subjective factors,which are composed of subject background,subject participation and subject idea,show the internal motivation of normal university students.After further analysis of the mechanism of normal university students’ professional accomplishment,it is found that normal university students are in the dual “sensitive period” of individual growth and career development,which is the premise of cultivation.The three factors of sociality,organization and subjectivity are the process of development.The formation and positive deformation of professional quality mark of normal university students are the result of cultivation.The excellent practice of professional accomplishment and cultivation of normal students in secondary normal schools can enlighten the orientation training of contemporary rural teachers.Specifically,we can promote the high-quality development of rural oriented normal university students in the new era from the three aspects of “precise positioning of target groups”,“careful creation of training environment” and “ingenious design of incentive mechanism”.
