Metaphor Research In The News Title Of Jilin Daily In The Last Five Years(2017-2021)

News newspaper is one of the main forms of news communication,and also one of the important carriers of mass media.The news title is a concise summary of the news content,which is the key to attract the readers’ attention.For the current research,news and newspaper headlines are less studied in linguistics,especially from the perspective of conceptual metaphor.This paper selects local newspaper Jilin daily,from the perspective of linguistics,combined with the concept of cow,Johnson metaphor theory analysis of the news headlines Jilin daily,Jilin daily is a local newspaper,focusing on the local life,show regional style,but also provide new corpus for metaphor research.This study is mainly divided into six parts.The introduction section mainly introduces the metaphor research,the research status of news headlines,the research significance and value of papers,the research methods and corpus sources.The first part of the text mainly introduces the metaphor types of the news headlines of Jilin Daily,and focuses on the structural metaphor,orientation metaphor and physical metaphor in the news headlines of Jilin Daily.The second chapter mainly analyzes the characteristics of the metaphor.First,it briefly introduces the syntactic structure of the metaphor in the news title of Jilin Daily,and discusses the syntactic unit composition,structure combination form and structure mapping direction of the metaphor in the news title.Secondly,the sources of semantic culture are discussed from myths and legends,folk tales and literary books.Finally,the pragmatic features are discussed,which is divided into universality of expression use,universality of scope use and subjective initiative of subject use.The third chapter mainly analyzes the characteristics of the metaphor.Firstly,it briefly introduces the syntactic structure of the metaphor in the news title of Jilin Daily,and discusses the syntactic unit composition,semantic expression mode and structural mapping direction of the metaphor in the news title.Secondly,the sources of semantic culture are discussed from myths and legends,folk tales and literary books.Finally,the pragmatic features are discussed,which is divided into universality of expression use,universality of scope use and subjective initiative of subject use.The fourth part of the text is divided into the metaphorical information transmission in the news headlines of Jilin Daily.With metaphoric thinking as the main way of transmission,to understand the news title and news content with the help of image metaphor.The fifth part of the text summarizes the function of metaphor in the news title of Jilin Daily.The function of metaphor can be elaborated from three aspects: cognitive function,communicative function and social function.In summary,after a preliminary analysis of the metaphors in the news headlines of Jilin Daily,we have a initial understanding of the metaphors in the news headlines of Jilin Daily,in order to better interpret the metaphors in the news headlines on the basis of language,culture,similarity and dual images.
