| Under the background of the "The Belt and Road Initiative",Laos has frequent cooperation with China,and the demand for Chinese language in Laos is more eager.The volunteer Chinese Language teachers sent by China to Laos are the backbone of local Chinese teaching,and the number of them is increasing year by year.Volunteers will inevitably encounter cross-cultural adaptation problems in different environments,so it is necessary to conduct cross-cultural adaptation research on a country-by-country basis.This study mainly uses the combination of quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis to study the cross-cultural adaptation of 62 volunteer Chinese Language teachers who will be teaching Chinese in Laos from 2021 to 2022.Through questionnaire survey and analysis,the influence of volunteers’ cross-cultural adaptation is mainly discussed from two aspects: internal factors and external factors.Internal factors include basic personal information such as gender,age,education,past experience,etc.External factors include daily life,language,Work,psychology,social interaction,and the impact of the Covid-19 will be investigated in six aspects.According to the results of the questionnaire survey,the main factors affecting the cross-cultural adaptation of volunteers are focused on several aspects such as language level,social life,and working conditions,and targeted interviews were conducted with volunteers from these aspects.According to the interview The content collects cases,conducts case analysis,and explores the main problems and reasons that affect volunteers’ cross-cultural adaptation.Finally,suggestions and countermeasures to improve the cross-cultural adaptability of volunteers are put forward from three aspects: volunteers themselves,teaching units,volunteer selection and training,and provide reference for volunteer Chinese language teachers who will go to Laos in the future to help them better adapt to life and work,successfully completed the teaching tasks,and promoted the development of international Chinese language teaching. |
