Bronze production tools are one of the most important types of pre-Qin period bronze wares in Northeast China, and have received little attention and research in the past. This paper systematically collates material on bronze production tools from the pre-Qin period in Northeast China and conducts some basic research.A preliminary chronological framework is established for the bronze production tools of the pre-Qin period in Northeast China, and regional differences in their formation and development are explored, based on which the cultural components of the pre-Qin period bronze production tools in Northeast China are further analyzed, thus outlining an overall picture of the development and evolution of the pre-Qin period bronze production tools in Northeast China.Based on the typological analysis, this paper divides the development of bronze production tools in the pre-Qin period in Northeast China into six stages: the Xia to early Shang period, the late Shang and early Zhou period, the early and mid-Western Zhou period, the late Western Zhou to early and mid-Spring and Autumn period, the mid-Spring and Autumn to early Warring States period, and the middle and late Warring States period.Based on the characteristics of the bronze production tools found in each region, the distribution of bronze production tools from the pre-Qin period in the Northeast China is divided into four regions: Liaoxi,Liaodong,Jichang, and Songnen,of which Liaoxi has the largest number and richest variety of bronze production tools excavated, and was the leader in the development of bronze production tools in the pre-Qin period in the Northeast China. On the basis of phasing and zoning, this paper examines the cultural composition of the bronze production tools of the pre-Qin period in Northeast China, dividing them into four groups: northern cultural factors,Central Plains cultural factors, local cultural factors, and fusion cultural factors. The northern and Middle Kingdom cultural factors mainly emerged at the early stages of the development of bronze production tools, while the local and fusion cultural factors emerged after the early to mid-Western Zhou period, with the local cultural factor having been the main cultural factor for bronze production tools in the pre-Qin period in Northeast China since its emergence. In the context of the transition between bronze and iron production tools in the Late Bronze Age in Northeast China, the paper argues that the decline of bronze production tools and the spread of iron production tools in Northeast China are closely related, showing a trend of a decline and a decline. The paper also analyses the origins and influence of bronze production tools in the pre-Qin period in the north-east,arguing that bronze production tools in the pre-Qin period in the north-east originated under the influence of a variety of cultures and had a significant impact on the development of bronze production tools in the mountainous areas of northern Hebei and the Korean peninsula.
