| Perceived knowledge hiding refers to that when an individual actively requests knowledge from others,he/she perceives that the other person intentionally retains or conceals knowledge, which can be divided into three dimensions: perceived playing dumb, perceived evasive hiding and perceived rationalized hiding.Perceived knowledge hiding can affect harmonious interpersonal relationships and prosocial behavior.Based on the theory of social exchange and negative reciprocity norms, this paper takes college students as the research object, explores the differences in the impact of perceived playing dumb and perceived evasive hiding and perceived rationalized hiding on social mindfulness,as well as the existing psychological mechanism. This paper contains two studies. In the first study,a total of 352 valid questionnaires were obtained by using the questionnaire method, and the relationship between the three dimensions of perceived knowledge hiding, hostility and social mindfulness was preliminarily explored. The results show that:(1)the three dimensions of perceived knowledge hiding have a negative impact on social mindfulness;(2)Hostility plays a mediating role between the three dimensions of perceived knowledge hiding and social mindfulness. The second study further verified the causal relationship and boundary conditions on the basis of the first study.A total of 160 subjects were recruited and 140 valid data were obtained.Adopt 2(perceived knowledge hiding: high vs.low)× 2(Interaction object: specialized-others vs.generalized-others)two-factor inter-subject design, the research results found that under the condition of high perceived knowledge hiding, the social mindfulness of individuals who interact with specialized-others(knowledge hider)is significantly lower than that of individuals who interact with generalized-others,but under the condition of low perceived knowledge hiding, there is no significant difference between the social mindfulness of the two types of interaction objects.Research conclusion:(1)Perceived knowledge hiding significantly negatively predicts social mindfulness, that is,the higher the degree of perceived knowledge hiding, the less individual social mindfulness behavior.(2)Perceived knowledge hiding negatively affects social mindfulness through the mediating effect of hostility.(3)Individual interaction objects play a moderating role in the impact of perceived knowledge hiding on social mindfulness. When the object of interaction is specializedothers(knowledge hiders),the individual social mindfulness under the condition of high perceived knowledge hiding is lower than under the condition of low perceived knowledge hiding; When the interaction object refers to generalied-others,there is no significant difference between individual social mindfulness under the condition of high and low perceived knowledge hiding. |
