| Family rearing style refers to the relatively stable behavior tendency of parents in the process of daily rearing their children,which is the combination of parents’ rearing idea,rearing behavior and affection expression to their children.Research shows that family upbringing is one of the important factors affecting academic performance.Subjective well-being and achievement motivation are the core topics of positive psychology research.Subjective well-being can influence students’ academic performance to some extent.Achievement motivation is a relatively stable psychological state that students show in learning activities,and is the main source of motivation to complete learning tasks.Subjective well-being and achievement motivation can predict their academic performance to a certain extent.In this study,400 senior high school students from a middle school in Shanxi Province were selected as the research objects through questionnaire survey to explore the influence of family upbringing style,subjective well-being and achievement motivation on the academic performance of senior high school students.First of all,there are significant differences in family upbringing,subjective well-being,achievement motivation and academic performance of senior high school students in gender,grade and other variables;High school students’ subjective well-being plays a mediating role in the relationship between family rearing style and academic performance,and has the largest effect between positive family rearing style and academic performance(40.89%),and can play a complete mediating effect between negative family rearing style and academic performance.Secondly,achievement motivation plays a mediating role in the relationship between family rearing style and academic performance.In the positive family rearing style,this effect can explain 26.5% of variance variation of dependent variable.Finally,this effect accounted for 28.6% of the variance variation of the dependent variable in negative parenting styles.The above results suggest that family parenting style not only has a direct impact on students’ academic performance,but also has an indirect impact on students’ academic performance under the link of subjective well-being and learning motivation.This study helps to further understand family upbringing,subjective well-being,and high school students achievement motivation will influence on their grades,targeted to improve students’ academic achievement,help parents understand their roles and positioning,and according to the characteristics of the children,take appropriate way,at the same time,help teachers understand the important factors that affect student performance. |
