Faith culture refers to the religious belief and religious behavior existing in the daily life of ordinary people,that is,people’s belief and worship of gods,ancestors,etc.,with ritual sacrifice and other rituals as the main forms of behavior activities,is the traditional customs accumulated in the long-term life practice process."Ong-be" in Hainan have created a belief culture with local characteristics,which is an integral part of Hainan culture.The "Ong-be" mentioned in this article refers to the self-proclaimed "Ong-be" of the Han ethnic group on Hainan Island.A "village-speaking" resident living west of the Nandu River in the northern part of Hainan Island.At present,the academic world calls it "Lingao man" and the language it speaks is "Lingao language".This paper takes the "Ong-be" in the coastal areas of North Qiongbei as the main research object,takes Xinying Town in Lingao County,Hainan Province as the field point,and takes the belief culture of local fishermen as the entry point.Through detailed field investigation and ethnographic description,this paper discusses the belief status of the "Ong-be" in the coastal areas of North Qiongbei.In the long period of Marine activities,Qiongbei coastal "Ong-be" gradually formed a set of adapted belief system.This paper discusses the factors influencing the formation of the belief culture of the "Ong-be" in Xinying Town,the constitution of the belief culture system,the practice of the belief culture,the characteristics of the belief culture,and the evolution and development of the belief culture.Among them,this paper holds that traditional culture and social structure,immigrant culture and livelihood mode are the influencing factors for the formation of local coastal "Ong-be" belief culture,and the local belief culture system is composed of "god belief" and "ancestor worship".In the research on the belief system and practice of local coastal "Ong-be",it is found that the local belief culture has the characteristics of maritime,local,polytheistic and utilitarian.At the same time,the rituals and functions of local belief culture are also evolving with the development of society.Under the background of the new era,The "Ong-be" in Qiongbei coastal area need to guide their belief culture to gradually transform into heritage and resource.The belief culture of "Ong-be" is a folk belief spontaneously formed and spread by fishermen in the long term production and living practice in the coastal areas of North Qiongsang Province,which has distinct regional characteristics.Through the field investigation of the belief culture of the "Ong-be" in the north coast of Qiongbei,and the analysis of its development status and future trend,this paper promotes the construction of fishing community culture,which is of great significance for enhancing the spiritual motivation of fishermen and promoting the social harmony and stability of fishing villages.
