A Study On China Central Parties During The War Of Resistance Against Japan In Wuhan

During the Anti Japanese War,as an important part of the Anti Japanese National United Front,the central parties played an important role in maintaining unity and cooperation,promoting the democratic process,and striving for victory in the War of Resistance.As Wuhan became the center and temporary capital of the National Anti Japanese War,leaders of all the central parties gathered in Wuhan one after another.In a relatively relaxed political environment,they began to be openly and legally active on the Chinese political stage.In view of the changes in the domestic situation in the new era,the central parties stood in their different positions,issued different political propositions,and participated in the practical activities of defending Great Wuhan in various forms,making positive contributions to the defense of Great Wuhan,reflecting the efforts of the class forces represented by the interests of the national bourgeoisie and the upper petty bourgeoisie to participate in the anti Japanese war and the founding of the country,At the same time,the political situation in Wuhan during the Anti Japanese War was reflected through their third-party perspective.First of all,in terms of political ideas and organizational development,although these central parties have put forward different political ideas,their focus is on supporting Kuomintang Communist cooperation,promoting democratic politics,adhering to long-term combat and other aspects,which meets the needs of the development of the times.At the same time,in terms of organizational development,all the central parties have also changed to varying degrees.Some of the original educational groups have changed into political groups,and some of the original right-wing factions have gradually developed into democratic anti Japanese groups during this period.Their focus of work has shifted to fighting Japan and saving the nation from extinction.Secondly,in the anti Japanese war,the central parties,in order to protect Wuhan,have set up newspapers and bookstores,used their respective positions of public opinion to carry out anti Japanese propaganda,organize or participate in anti Japanese mass organizations,mobilize the masses,and at the same time,they also relief refugees and offer social condolences.During this period,they also participated in the National Political Council to promote the development of democracy,So as to make a positive contribution to the defense of Wuhan.Finally,with regard to the relationship between the various parties and the Kuomintang and the Communist Party,great changes have taken place in party relations during this period.The first is the relationship with the Kuomintang.Although these central parties have different views on the Kuomintang,they have temporarily put aside their dissatisfaction and unanimously expressed their desire to persevere in the war of resistance under the leadership of the Kuomintang.In terms of their relations with the Communist Party,they all deepened their understanding of the Communist Party during this period.In particular,some anti Communist parties also changed their attitudes and established ties with the Communist Party.to sum up,it can be seen that these central parties played a positive role in promoting the national unity and anti Japanese situation during the period of Wuhan Anti Japanese War,promoting the development of democratic politics,and protecting Wuhan to turn the war into a stalemate stage,These central parties did not know clearly the anti democratic nature of Chiang Kai shek,and even had some unrealistic illusions.At the same time,due to lax organization and weak military and political power,the power of the central parties is limited,and they fail to consciously form a joint force.
