Unlike many established literary figures,Li Juan’s prose is also full of unpredictability, and her writing style may change as time passes, society changes, and life experiences increase. So far,Li Juan’s works can be roughly divided into three series according to the content of the texts: the "Altai Series" essays truly record the survival of her family when they first entered the pastoral area, interspersed with depictions of the customs and people of the Altai region, and expressing the different emotional experiences brought to Li Juan by the different lives in urban and rural areas. The essays in the "Sheep Road Series" mainly focus on the traditional life of herders, recording the changes in traditional culture under the impact of modern culture;the "Sunflower Series" is still in the process of continuous creation, focusing on her family’s experience of growing sunflowers in the desert. In this paper,we will take Li Juan’s self-seeking in her creation as the starting point and focus on Li Juan’s inner emotion and psychological state, discussing the aspects of self-lost in difficulties,self-seeking in Altai,self-identity and self-understanding of life.Through the analysis of her works,Li Juan reveals the entire journey from self-lost to self-seeking,and explores the formation of cultural identity and life consciousness in this process.Li Juan’s spiritual dilemma is caused by the lack of external material life and internal spiritual loneliness, and she loses herself in the strong sense of loneliness, but she gains a new understanding of life in the natural scenery of Altay, completes the identification of her identity in the heterogeneous culture of the Kazakh borderlands, and then realizes the reconstruction of her self.
