| As a medium for the dissemination,consumption and reception of literary works,literary journals record the expression and existence forms of Chinese in different contexts of different eras.To some extent,it can be said that it retains the most original and vivid memory picture of the literature of the era.Therefore,it is important to start with literary journals to study literary texts.This paper selects the poetry journal "Zhan Ge",which is based in the southwest and facing the whole country,as the research object.Founded in Kunming in August 1938 and finally published in January 1941,War Hymn was a large-scale anti-Japanese war poetry journal that focused on poetry creation and poetry criticism during the Anti-Japanese War period."Zhan Ge" has a strong camp of authors,a large number of works,and a wide sales range,which has had a far-reaching impact at home and even abroad.The inaugural issue of "Zhan Ge" not only left a rich collection of poetry creation and poetry theory,but also effectively promoted the connection between Yunnan’s literary and art circles and the whole country,enabling many well-known writers and cultural figures to gather around the journal and promote the in-depth development of anti-Japanese war poetry.This paper aims to comprehensively investigate the development of "Zhan Ge",and also study specific works and poetry theory,so as to fully and accurately understand and grasp the significance of "Zhan Ge".It is the task at the beginning of this article to sort out the founding and ending of "Zhan Ge",the main body of editors and the group of authors.In 1938,driven by the internal migration of literati to Kunming,Luo Tieying’s return to Yunnan and the strong cultural atmosphere,"Zhan Ge" was launched.With the joint efforts of Luo Tieying,Lei Jianbo,Xu Jiarui and other Yunnan natives,"Zhan Ge" united a group of intellectuals,including Lao She and Zhu Ziqing.After fully understanding the external situation of "Zhan Ge",he began to analyze the literary practice of "Zhan Ge" in detail,and sorted out the poetry creation,poetry translation,and poetry theory that constitute the main sections of the journal.Combing found that his original poems are rich in content,some praise the heroic deeds of the anti-Japanese soldiers,and some satirize the Japanese army invading China and traitors;His choice of translated poems has always shown anti-Japanese tendencies and consciousness;His poetry theory has always revolved around "popularization",and he strongly advocates "recitation poetry" and "old forms" as effective ways to achieve popularization.Finally,based on the previous analysis,the status and significance of "Zhan Ge" are evaluated as a whole.On the whole,on the one hand,"Zhan Ge" is based on Yunnan itself,not only publishing poems that reflect the reality of the Yunnan War of Resistance,but also uniting local authors in Yunnan,and publishing catalogues with many publications in the province,closely linked,and jointly promoting the development of Yunnan War of Resistance literature;On the other hand,"Zhan Ge" is in the same vein as the "Chinese Poetry Society",participates in various literary and artistic debates such as "popularization","recitation of poetry" and "old form",and actively promotes the connection with "Chinese Poetry Circle" and "Tempest" and other publications across the country. |
