Studies On The Localizers Of Yi Burmese Languages

Location word is a kind of word used frequently by human beings,which directly reflects human’s spatial cognitive thinking.Yi-Burmese location words are different from nouns and pronouns,which is manifested in various semantic references and virtuality and reality dual nature,etc.This article uses fieldwork method,structuralism description method,combined with cognitive linguistics,corpus linguistics and other theories,systematically and deeply describe and analyze Yi-Burman language location words.By comparing the languages of relatives to study the historical evolution of Yi-Burmese language location words,and sort out Yi-Burmese per language location words to study the unbalanced development of locational words within the branch.Thus,revealing the overall characteristics and significant differences of Yi-Burmese language.The full artical is divided into five parts: introduction,the position of parts of speech of Yi-Burmese locative words,semantic analysis of Yi-Burmese locative words,grammatical structure categories of Yi-Burmese locative words,grammaticalization of Yi-Burmese locative words and conclusion.The introduction introduces the reason,research value and content of the topic,and summarizes the research status,research methods and corpus sources of Yi-Burman language location words.The first chapter starts further clarify the lexical status of the location words with the difference between Yi-Burmese location words,nouns and deictic words.The second chapter is the semantic analysis of Yi-Burmese location words.Based on the reference points of the semantic meaning of the location words,this chapter divides the location words into the reference point location words of sun rising and setting,the reference points of people and the reference points of objects,and further analyzes and explores.It is found that the number of language containing the location words with the sun rising and setting reference points and human reference points is the largest.The object as the reference point is the most complex,its reference points include rivers,wind direction,stars,zodiac signs,houses,mountains,etc.In addition,Yi-Burmese language location words semantic also are distance different.The third chapter is the grammatical structure category of Yi-Burmese location words.This paper mainly analyzes and explores their word-formation ability and ways from the perspective of simple and synthetic location words.The fourth chapter is about the virtuality and reality of Yi-Burmese locational words.The differences and unbalance of Yi-Burmese location words in vertical and horizontal perspectives are explored from the aspects of semantic vagueness,syntactic function and combination function.Based on the description and analysis of the previous four chapters,the epilogue further summarizes the general characteristics of Yi-Burmese location words from three aspects: semantic,grammatical features and grammaticalization.Among them,the most prominent characteristic is its virtuality and reality duality and imbalance.
