Li Er’s novel "Brother Yingwu" takes the daily life of contemporary intellectuals as the observation object,and uses allegorical narration to write about the chaos of the times,the rupture of culture and the confusion of survival,revealing the current social reality and the spiritual abnormalities contained therein,becoming a contemporary allegorical book with authenticity,fragmentation,melancholy and redemption.The text is divided into four parts,starting from the four chapters of "Brother Yingwu" : the allegorical interpretation,the allegorical world,the allegorical connotation,and the allegorical art.The first chapter discusses Benjamin’s theory of allegorical criticism as a theoretical support to analyze the allegorical characteristics of "Brother Yingwu".The second chapter presents the allegorical world of "Brother Yingwu" from the appearance of social reality to the hidden alienation pathological psychology.The third chapter explores the allegorical connotation and orientation of the text,analyzes the spiritual ills of contemporary people’s desire for power,and reveals the ideological connotations of cultural fables,survival fables and fables of the times.Chapter 4 analyzes the allegorical writing art of "Brother Yingwu" from three aspects: allegorical imagery,allegorical expression and allegorical construction."Brother Yingwu" takes the group of intellectuals as the writing object,reveals its state of existence governed by rights,money and desires,expresses the nihilistic and confused survival confusion of contemporary people through the group of intellectuals,and tries to cross the void and obtain spiritual salvation by returning to traditional Chinese cultural values.
