| The purpose of this paper is to provide a systematic and comprehensive study of the musical contributions of Professor Zhang Xingrong,a practitioner of traditional music in Yunnan.Through the elaboration of Professor Zhang Xingrong’s research ideas and musical research methods,the path of his changing ideas on the study of Yunnan traditional music is explored.At the same time,Professor Zhang’s musical contributions are placed in the historical context of Yunnan’s contemporary history and the history of ethnic music research.The "individual" study is contrasted with the "group" study in order to provide an objective and realistic assessment of his musical contributions.The first chapter of this paper provides an overview of Professor Zhang’s musical career;the second and third chapters are the core support chapters of this paper,aiming to study the summary of Professor Zhang’s academic achievements and music teaching contributions;the fourth chapter is the concluding chapter.In the first chapter,the author mainly uses "offline" field interviews,combined with "online" academic website literature collection.Through the study of a large number of first-hand interviews,Professor Zhang’s musical career is divided into three stages: the initiation period,the professional music study period,and the research period of Yunnan traditional music.The stages of his musical journey are also interpreted to grasp the ideological changes involved.The second chapter examines Professor Zhang’s academic contributions,focusing on his research on three aspects of Yunnan minority instrumental music,minority vocal music,and cave-jing music.The second chapter further analyzes the stages of change and research characteristics in Professor Zhang’s areas of interest,and explores the paths of change in each stage of his research by examining the factors of music collection and research,cultural interpretation,performance(singing)forms,and analysis of artistic characteristics in his different research areas.At the same time,Professor Zhang’s academic achievements and contributions are compared with those of Yunnan traditional musicology researchers in the same period in Yunnan and across the country,so as to make an objective positioning of his academic value.Chapter 3 examines Professor Zhang Xingrong’s contributions to music education,using a historiographical research approach to sort out the stages of his music teaching practice history.Through the in-depth elaboration of his major courses and practices in different periods,the development and publication of related teaching materials and scientific research results,the characteristics of Professor Zhang’s music teaching philosophy and teaching mode are analyzed.Based on these foundations,his contributions to both the cultivation of talents in Yunnan’s music academy and the revelation of Yunnan’s traditional music culture transmission and preservation are studied.Chapter 4 is a concluding chapter in which the author uses time clues based on the research method of music historiography.The first three chapters are studied in stages by dividing them into different periods.In this way,the contributions of Professor Zhang Xingrong to the study of Yunnan traditional music,as the "guardian" of Yunnan traditional music,and his teaching and scholarship are revealed. |
