Since the beginning of the new century, the "post-70s" female writers have focused on the living conditions of the people under the background of urban-rural transformation, and they have revealed the development of the current social structure and the spiritual difficulties faced by people by copying and portraying the different circumstances of migrant workers, knowledgeable youth, and urban loners in the city."Post-70s" female writers generally have a dual identity of urban and rural areas, they have a special emotional resonance with the group of foreigners, who are a new group that appears under the conflict between rural civilization and urban civilization, and are the result of social changes in the new period, and their emergence is closely related to the transformation of urban and rural society, the development of market economy, and the local experience of writers, while the "post-70s" female writers write foreigners are typical images in the social transformation in the new century.Coupled with the intergenerational characteristics of "post-70s" female writers, their writing of foreigners is more delicate, while paying attention to the difficult survival, identity, and emotional damage of foreigners, they shift their perspective to the daily living space of foreigners, and observe the lonely, confused, and anxious mental state of foreigners through public space, private space, and psychological space. As the other of the city, foreigners face the spiritual dilemma that they cannot return to their hometown and cannot be left behind, and the "post-70s" female writers look at the spiritual diseases and the danger of losing roots in the process of urban-rural integration since the new century through the redemption of foreigners or success or failure. This paper takes the image of foreigners in the novels of "post-70s" female writers as the main body, and uses theories such as sociology, psychology, and cultural spatial studies to explore the meaning and value of the writing of "post-70s" female writers in foreign lands. In addition to the introduction and conclusion, the main part is arranged into four chapters: the first chapter examines the social background in which the group of foreigners emerges.Since the eighties, the state has formulated corresponding policies and systems, which have broken the relative isolation between urban and rural areas to varying degrees,so that more rural people can enter the city without household registration restrictions and become foreigners seeking a living in the city. With the establishment of the socialist market economy, the city has ushered in rapid development, the consciousness of consumption has gradually risen in the city, various literary trends have poured in,and many changes in the city have produced a pull for the rural people.Leaving and returning home is the norm in the youth of "post-70s" female writers, and their unique life experiences between urban and rural areas have prompted them to shape the image of foreigners.Chapter 2 explores the daily living space of foreigners, focusing on urban geographical space, and makes a detailed analysis of the experience of foreigners leaving, returning, and leaving the city, showing the gradual integration of urban and rural cultural space in contemporary China. The second is the description of the social space of foreigners, family, work units, and urban buildings are the main places for foreigners’ feelings, interpersonal relationships, and urban experiences, shuttling through different social places, and different life experiences make foreigners fall into identity anxiety. Finally, there is the exploration of psychological space, dreams and memories are the most important psychological spaces for foreigners.Chapter 3 focuses on the pain of life in a foreign land.People on the edge of the city and drifters are synonymous with migrant workers in the city, and in the face of the city’s diverse material temptations and difficult living conditions, they struggle painfully while sticking to their original intentions.Whether they are low-level migrant workers or urban intellectuals, they all embody the anxiety of identity, and explore the pain of life, identity and spirit of foreigners through the description of the living conditions of migrant workers, urban intellectuals, and urban natives.Chapter 4explores the act of self-redemption of foreigners, which is the act of self-redemption of foreigners after they have fallen and gone astray. The first way of redemption is to return, and under the influence of local warmth, some of the people who have fallen into spiritual difficulties have rediscovered themselves. The second way of redemption is exodus, escape and death are two specific acts of redemption in the process of exodus, some foreigners find their own subject in the process of exodus, while some foreigners fail to redeem.Through the writing of the journey of foreigners into the city, their fall and redemption, the "post-70s" female writers reflect their worries and deep thoughts on the integration of urban and rural areas. The concluding part mainly considers the new possibilities in the integration of urban and rural areas in the current society through the process of returning to the city and the spiritual redemption of foreigners.
