| During the period of the Republic of China,Hasake and Menggu moved into Hexi Corridor, causing new ethnic flow and interaction in the north of Hexi Corridor, which profoundly affected the ethnic distribution pattern and national ethnic governance in the early period of the Republic of China and even the founding of New China. At the beginning of the Republic of China,Outer Mongolia was independent and the new Party of Outer Mongolia was in power. The opposition Mongols were excluded by the new party and successively fled to the Mamanshan area of Hexi Corridor. At the same time,Hasake in Aletai,Balikun,Hami and other areas of Xinjiang, unable to withstand the high-pressure rule of warlords such as Sheng Shicai and Yang Zengxin, began to migrate to the Hexi Corridor in search of living space with abundant water and grass. After a large number of Kazak and Mongolian people moved into the northern part of Hexi Corridor, they competed for living resources and space with local groups, resulting in a lot of social problems in the northern part of Hexi Corridor and a new round of ethnic interaction and integration. The migration of alien ethnic groups and the high pressure rule of Qinghai Ma Bufang Group led to frequent conflicts between alien ethnic groups and original ethnic groups, and between ethnic groups and Qingma in the Hexi Corridor. To this end,the government of the Republic of China implemented a series of resettlement and management measures for ethnic groups in the northern Hexi Corridor.Through the method of historical documents, data analysis and other research methods, firstly, the flow and interaction of ethnic groups in the northern Hexi Corridor during the Republic of China were sorted out,and the motivation of the flow of ethnic groups was analyzed.Secondly,it discusses the response and management measures of the Republic government to the ethnic groups in the northern part of Hexi Corridor, and explores the influence of the administration of the Republic government on the formation of ethnic distribution pattern in the northern part of Hexi Corridor before liberation. Finally,by analyzing the new ethnic distribution pattern in the north of Hexi Corridor before liberation, this paper further explores the significance of the new ethnic distribution pattern to ethnic blending and local development, and finally analyzes the administration of the Republic of China government in order to provide reference and lessons for contemporary ethnic governance.Throughout the response and management measures of the government of the Republic of China to the flow and interaction of ethnic groups in the northern Hexi Corridor,it reflects the interaction between the state power and local ethnic groups,as well as the game between the state power and local chiefdoms. The administration of the government of the Republic of China established a new ethnic distribution pattern in the northern part of Hexi Corridor before liberation and even at the beginning of the founding of New China, promoted ethnic blending and cultural exchange, and promoted the economic development in the northern part of Hexi Corridor. However, the administration measures of the Republic of China government also have many inadequacies. The success or failure of its policies all provide valuable experience for contemporary ethnic governance. |
