A Study On Rhythm Form Of Aesthetic Level In Novels

According to the different ways of aesthetic expression,this thesis divides the novel into three aesthetic levels: "presentation layer","representation layer" and "performance layer".Language,form and other factors mainly act on the recipient’s aesthetic perception,"presentation" in perception,so they belong to the aesthetic "presentation layer";Image,character,plot and other factors mainly act on the recipient’s aesthetic imagination,in imagination "representation",so they belong to the aesthetic "representation layer";Elements such as atmosphere and Qi mainly act on the recipient’s aesthetic feelings and "perform" in the emotions,so they belong to the aesthetic "performance layer".As a kind of advanced aesthetic form,rhythm can be reflected in any aesthetic level and form the corresponding rhythm form.The rhythm forms of aesthetic presentation in novels mainly include language rhythm and narrative rhythm.The novel text is a narrative text constructed by the narrator according to the narrative logic through the medium of language symbols.In the aesthetic subject’s contemplation,language and narrative "present" the aesthetic subject’s threshold of perception.Language rhythm is phonetic rhythm,reasonable choice of sentence pattern,use of rhetoric,harmonious collocation of phonology,etc.,can produce or enhance the rhythm of novel language.Narrative rhythm is the rhythm produced by different narrative behaviors.It can be produced by time inversion,time interval change,repeated narration,narrative distance change,focusing change,etc.The rhythm forms of aesthetic representation in novels mainly include image rhythm,character’s mental rhythm and plot rhythm.Image is a kind of variation of object image,the repetition of image produces image rhythm.Characters’ mental activities are complex and changeable,and complex and changeable mental activities produce mental rhythm.Plot is the imitation of action,and the movement of plot produces plot rhythm.The rhythm forms of aesthetic performance in novels mainly include atmosphere rhythm and Qi rhythm.Different parts of the novel text generate different emotional tones,namely atmosphere;The collocation between different atmospheres produces atmosphere rhythm.The novel text is the "quasi-subject" of "in-self" and "for-self",and there is a kind of "Qi" which is similar to life in the novel text.Qi flows with the narrative movement,producing the Qi rhythm.Presentation layer,representation layer and performance layer are unified in the organic whole of the novel text.In the aesthetic interaction between the subject of aesthetic reception and the text of the novel,rhythm is transformed into a sense of rhythm.The sense of rhythm has meaning to people,it makes the subject of aesthetic acceptance in aesthetic pleasure,and indirectly enhances the coordination of the subject’s inner function.
