| During the Qin and Han Dynasties,it was necessary to use labels to record the specific information of the markers when collecting and sorting out documents and objects. This special shape of wooden slips had many names, such as "Jie" "Qianpai","Sipai" "Muqian" and so on.By comparing the names of wooden slips in handed down documents with the functions of unearthed objects,we determined its official name as "Jie".The relevant records of "Jie" in the literature handed down from ancient times focus on its function,so we know relatively little about its shape, usage and other aspects. In the hundred years since the Juyan Han wooden slips appeared in the 20 th century,a large number of wooden slips materials have been presented to the public through scientific archaeological excavation, which has provided great convenience for the relevant research of the Qin and Han Dynasties. This paper focuses on the “Jie” of the Qin and Han Dynasties, makes full use of the handed down documents and unearthed documents, and makes a comprehensive investigation and exploration of the shape, function expansion and extension of the Qin and Han Dynasties, and the differences between the northern and southern use.During the Warring States Period, there were two forms of bottom sharpening and both sides of the joint, while in the Qin and Han Dynasties,it was mainly divided into two categories: joint and drilling. From the Warring States Period to the Qin and Han Dynasties, the shape was initially related to the container containing the marker, but with the passage of time, this relationship became no longer close. In the Qin and Han Dynasties,it was mainly tied to objects or documents, and the notch was tied to objects by knotting ropes at the notch, while drilling was to hang or cling to objects or documents by knotting ropes through drilling holes.Throughout the form of the Qin and Han Dynasties, the two sides of the joint almost always coexist with the borehole. With the advance of the times and the influence of regional factors, the head decoration has changed, and there are obvious differences between the north and the south. With the different use scenarios, some of them get rid of the single label attribute and reflect the characteristics of the composite function, which not only extends to the book, but also combines with the mud box to form a functional seal in some specific cases. At the same time,it played a very important role in the social governance of the Qin and Han Dynasties.Whether in the mainland or in the northwest,it participated in the government affairs of the Qin and Han empires all the time.Jie can provide direct examples of administrative operation, and material objects can be seen in many aspects of material management in Qin and Han Dynasties. The text information can reflect the ideas of classification and collection of documents in Qin and Han Dynasties and many details of material management, which provides us with real and valuable materials to understand the society of Qin and Han Dynasties. |
