| The relationship between Confucianism and Buddhism has shown a situation of mutual influence and mutual absorption in the history of Chinese thought. One of the characteristics of Song-Ming Neo-Confucianism that is different from pre-Qin Confucianism and Confucianism in the Han Dynasty is that on the basis of Confucian Juche Thought,it fully absorbs and learns from Buddhist thought.Whether it is Neo-Confucianism or Lu and Wang’s thought, especially Yangming School in the Ming dynasty, this feature is obvious, and Wang Ji who is the successor and disseminator of Yangming’theory is the most outstanding representative. While studying Yangming’ Conscience Philosophy,Wang Ji integrated the Buddhist ideas of Non-Dualities and Mind, and further emphasized the nothingness attributes and peace attributes of conscience.Wang Ji bring the extension of innate knowledge into the conscience ontology, and formed the ideological system of ontology and method, which not only has the ethical orientation of Confucian supreme goodness, but also has the spiritual realm of Buddhism’inclusiveness, containing all things. As a Confucian scholar who integrated Confucianism and Buddhism,Wang Ji integrated Confucianism and Buddhism basing on the Confucian thought. The status of Wang Ji’s theory in both the Yangming’s theory and the Combination of Confucianism and Buddhism thought in the middle and late Ming Dynasties cannot be ignored. This paper studies Wang Ji’s theory from the perspective of Combination of Confucianism and Buddhism and aims to explore the Buddhist contents in the construction of Wang Ji ’s theory,so as to demonstrate his ideological characteristics of Confucianism Oriented and Combination of Confucianism and Buddhism. This paper will be studied in the following five parts: the first chapter introduces the purpose and significance of the research, the research progress of scholars at home and abroad on Wang Ji’s thought, and the goals to be achieved in this article; The second chapter discusses Wang Ji’s ideological system of Confucianism Oriented and Combination of Confucianism and Buddhism from three aspects: the formation of Wang Ji’s ideas of Combination of Confucianism and Buddhism,Wang Ji’s Buddhist View, and Wang Ji’s association with Buddhists; The third chapter examines Wang Ji’s theory assimilation of "Non-dualities" of Buddhism, and examines the "Non-dualities" thought of Wang Ji’s theory from the three levels of conscience, practice, and realm; The fourth chapter examines Wang Ji’s theory assimilation of mind theory of Buddhism.First of all, this paper studies the relationship between Wang Ji’s conscience theory and Buddha nature of Buddhism, and then studies the influence of Buddhist mental thought on Wang Ji’s theory from two aspects: ontology and method; Finally, this article summarized the characteristics of Wang Ji’s theory of Combination of Confucianism and Buddhism and demonstrated Wang Ji’s ideological purpose of Confucianism Oriented and Combination of Confucianism and Buddhism: On the one hand,Wang Ji’s views on Confucianism,Buddhism, and Taoism laid foundation for the basic ideological tendency of Confucianism Oriented and Combination of Confucianism and Buddhism; On the other hand,Wang Ji’s integration of the Buddhist ideas of Non-duality and mental theory is just on the premise of conscience. This shows that Wang Ji integrates the transcendent spirit of Buddhism from Confucian standpoint, and internalizes morality and ethics. |
