William Wordsworth, who lived in the late 18 th century to the first half of the19 th century,is a famous English lakeside poet.He was honored as the poet Laureate.During the industrial revolution in the West,Wordsworth saw sadly and angrily that human beings constantly developed and reformed nature for survival, development and visual needs, which caused great harm to the natural landscape.Human appreciation of natural landscapes continues to rely heavily on any landscape that can be framed or defined.Today, the picturesque beauty still profoundly influences the way we view the world. The aesthetics of anthropocentrism will endanger the ethical relationship between human and nature and aggravate the ecological crisis. From 1797 to 1807,Wordsworth wrote nearly 100 poems during the decade, including 30 natural poems.Based on 10 famous poems among the 100 poems,to explore how poets express their feelings in nature and form a balanced interaction between man and nature. The world in Wordsworth’s poetry is a free world that is ecologically balanced and breaks with society’s conventional treatment of nature.Different from the orderly and lifeless natural landscape that was transformed according to the picturesque aesthetic standards, the poet paid more attention to the ethical relationship between man and natural ecology, and observed the original beauty of nature from the perspective of ecological aesthetics.William Wordsworth tried to arise human love for nature through the beauty of natural poems, and to promote the development and dissemination of the ecological aesthetics.Ecological aesthetics breaks the relationship between man and nature as to who rules and who is ruled, and reconstructs the sense of responsibility in the relationship. This paper will further analyze and discuss the transcendence of ecological aesthetics over the picturesque beauty of his natural poems. This is a new way of thinking about the study of Wordsworth’s ecological consciousness, and it is a meaningful attempt. It can call for more people to appreciate the beauty of nature and pay attention to the issue of ecological conservation.
