A Study On The Creation And Performance Of The Segment "I Dedicate My Youth To Communism" In The Guizhou Lantern Opera "Praise Of Red Plum

Guizhou Festive Lantern Opera is the earliest and most widely spread genre of local opera in GuizhouProvince.It has a solid mass foundation,but it has faded out little by little in recent years.The launch of many innovative operas by Guizhou Festive Lantern Theater has undoubtedly energized Guizhou Festive Lantern Opera.Guizhou Festive Lantern Theater integrates Guizhou Festive Lantern Opera with Ethnic Opera,and adapts the ethnic opera Jiang Jie to Guizhou festive lantern opera Ode to Red Plum Blossom,which has been well received and made more and more people feel the charm of Guizhou Festive Lantern Opera.Starting from the Guizhou festive lantern opera Ode to Red Plum Blossom,this paper is intended to explore the innovative repertoire of Guizhou Festive Lantern Operaby taking a single aria "I Contribute Youth to Communism" as an example.The first chapter of this paper is to trace the origin of the music in the festive lantern opera Ode to Red Plum Blossom.Through the melody comparison between all arias of the ethnic opera Jiang Jie and Guizhou festive lantern opera Ode to Red Plum Blossom,it decomposes down to the music part of innovation for Ode to Red Plum Blossom,the input from traditional festive lantern tune,and melody fragments of Jiang Jie remaining to be unchanged.The second chapter is to compare and analyze the dramatic variations of "I Contribute Youth to Communism" in two versions.Chapter 3,4 and 5 are toanalyze its lyrics,the role music plays in forming characters and the analysis of singing performance for the aria in question by focusing on Guizhou festive lantern opera "I Contribute Youth to Communism".Chapter 6 is the author’s insight into the shaping of character Jiang Jie in the very aria.
