The body is both of the object and the perception. The body as the object is the body being viewed. The "body" in Chaim Soutine’s works is not a body for watching, but a body for feeling, which strengthens the physical experience. The body presented in Chaim Soutine’s works gives people a vague fear, which makes people feel nervous and bloody. The brush strokes leave traces on the body like knives, which is the manifestation of anatomy and violence, with more emphasis on the perception of the whole body. This is Chaim Soutine’s wholehearted reflection of his own experience and feelings of life authenticity in his works,so as to face the real life at present. At the same time, physical experience runs through his Landscape paintings and still life, making them present a real world that is turbulent and unadorned. It can be said that his works focus on the tragic fate of human existence in the era.If we study Chaim Soutine’s paintings from the perspective of "body",we will find that his works are all in the state of returning to life.Through the life of Chaim Soutine,we can explore his physical experience and the influence of his life experience in various periods on his artistic style,so as to explore the unique painting language in his works, such as the distorted shape, the color of life, and the torn strokes. In addition,Chaim Soutine links daily life, combines personal experience and feelings, and brings body perception experience into creative practice. He uses painting language to express himself, and seeks the authenticity of real life,so as to better perceive life, grasp oneself, and create more profound works of art.
