Based on the clue of folk family-style bullfighting in Sizhai village of Gaopo,taking the family,village and society in Sizhai village of Gaopo as the carrier,and combining with the cognitive system of Miao people in Sizhai village of Gaopo,this paper discusses the cultural motivation of bullfighting and explains the culture of bullfighting.It is found that there is a correlation between the bullfighting culture of Sizhai village in Gaopo and the local social structure.On the one hand,the original system of "Drum Club" and "Deliberating Lang" in Gaopo Sizhai is the foundation for the survival of bullfighting culture.On the other hand,the continuous development of bullfighting culture has further stabilized the local social structure.Starting from the historical evolution of Langdong Town and Gaopo Sizhai,based on inscriptions,local chronicles,villagers’ legends and stories,this paper combs the historical origin and social relations between Gaopo Sizhai and surrounding villages,analyzes the ethnic origin of villages and families in Gaopo Sizhai,and discusses the influence of the original social structure and crowd relations of the Miao in Gaopo Sizhai on modern bullfighting.The local people construct a common ancestor image through Miao songs and historical legends,and form a common ancestor blood connection between the small families who moved in from other places and the families who moved in first through the form of assumption and identification,and construct a common ancestor memory.Moreover,because the geographical location of each village family in Sizhai,Gaopo is not far away,the people communicate closely,forming a very stable and orderly geopolitical community.However,this geo-community often needs a common ceremony to strengthen the internal order and values.Drum and Tibetan Festival and bullfighting are one of the manifestations of the periodic ceremony of the geo-community in Gaopo Sizhai.Through continuous activities with the four villages in Gaopo,the four villages by the river and the surrounding villages,the local people have formed a common way of thinking and behavior according to tradition or experience,which has enabled the traditional social structure and ethnic cultural customs of the Miao people in the four villages in Gaopo to continue along a certain track.With the development of the times,the culture of Drum-Tibetan Festival disappeared in the long river of history.Due to the pursuit of social status,reputation and prestige,the profound influence of individual consciousness of ancestor worship and bull worship,and the removal of some customs that conflict with reality in the original bull-fighting of Drum-Tibetan Festival,the bull-fighting culture survived and moved from sacredness to secularity.In order to construct the mystery and rationality of bullfighting,the local people imagined and constructed the bullfighting culture,and connected it with ancestor worship,seeking good fortune and avoiding harm,social status,and wealth expectation.Bullfighting became an inevitable channel to enter this society and a social interval to distinguish "me" from "the other","poverty" and "wealth",thus individuals were included in the group.In order to form a better social order,they classified cows and then classified people,which strengthened the sense of individual responsibility and the sense of identity with ethnic groups.At the same time,they followed the principle of consistent external relations.As long as all the cows in their village are "my cows",bullfighting is no longer a decisive battle between individuals,but a contest between families and villages.In order to win social respect and ethnic identity,they spend a lot of money to buy good cows,and once they are defeated,they will kill them and buy them again,so as to prove to the society that their "old" individuals have died and their new identities have been re-established.In order to reduce the loss,a series of local knowledge of cattle selection,cattle raising and medical treatment have also been produced.Finally,the thesis takes the analysis of the interaction between the social structure of Gaopo Sizhai and the bullfighting culture as the foothold.Because of the original stable social structure,the folk family-style bullfighting can survive,and the worship of ancestors,cattle gods and ethnic consciousness rooted in the blood,the bullfighting culture has gained strong vitality in this place.The original "drum club" and "discussion on lang" in Gaopo Sizhai are the foundation of bullfighting culture,and bullfighting in turn strengthens the local social structure.Through bullfighting,the local area gradually formed a strict and stable social structure of vertical households-families-villages-Gaopo four villages and horizontal marriage circles and youth groups.
