Original hometown is born out of people’s memories, attachment and imagination to the countryside. In modern and contemporary literary history, the original hometown is a major theme with writing tradition. As a contemporary writer with rich experience of exile,Li Juan has gradually constructed two images of the original hometown of "Sichuan Lezhi" and "Xinjiang Altay" in her works through literary creation in the journey of leaving and returning home again and again. These two villages are not opposite to each other, but give birth to the phenomenon of coexistence of two villages in his works.Based on these two locations,Li Juan writes about the self, the other and the other, and forms a harmonious and symbiotic picture of life through these elements.Li Juan’s original village writing uses the way of memory and imagination, philosophical questioning and ecological writing, and constructs a narrative strategy with personal characteristics. She started from the poetic hometown, the suffering hometown and the hometown with strong regional colors, and depicted the hometown with rich artistic colors. If Li Juan is placed in the tradition of Yuanxiang writing,it can be found that she not only inherits and continues the traditional paradigm of Yuanxiang writers’ dependence on the countryside, but also walks out of the dual confrontation pattern between urban and rural areas to a certain extent, integrates her own life experience and modern life experience into Yuanxiang writing, reflecting the contemporary value of Yuanxiang writing.Except to the introduction and conclusion, the thesis is divided into five chapters:The first chapter mainly discusses the origin of Li Juan’s Yuanxiang writing. In general, there are two kinds of original township images in Li Juan’s works: "Sichuan Lezhi" and "Xinjiang Altay".The former as the hometown of life, more reflects the author and the local blood origin. The latter,as an image constructed in literary works, more reflects the author’s imagination about the ideal countryside. The two images of the original township influence each other and relate each other, which together constitute the juxtaposition of the two townships in Li Juan’s works. The second chapter mainly discusses the main content of Li Juan’s Yuanxiang writing.First of all,in the turbulent experience of the diaspora, the geographical distance between the author and his hometown and the emotional connection between intimacy and estrangation at times gave rise to the author’s anxiety about self-existence and self-identity,which became the theme of most of Li Juan’s works.Secondly, some of the "other" images that are actually recorded are often Mired in the conflict of whether to stay in the countryside or stay away from the countryside. Finally, the most unique feature of Li Juan’s Yuanxiang writing is that it not only focuses on human writing, but also takes other living things and natural scenes as the background color of Yuanxiang, which has become an existence with independent value in the Yuanxiang world. The third chapter mainly discusses the narrative strategy of Li Juan’s Yuanxiang writing.Memory and imagination,as one of the most basic strategies of Yuanxiang writing, are interspersed in Sichuan and Xinjiang by Li Juan.In addition, she also extended her philosophical thoughts on countryside and homeland, life and existence with philosophical inquiries,in an attempt to explore an ideal way of dwelling. Finally,Li Juan grasps a green pen and constructs an ecological hometown in the text world through the observation and imagination of nature. The fourth chapter mainly discusses the artistic characteristics of Li Juan’s original writing. On the whole,Li Juan’s description of Yuanxiang is a kind of poetic writing, specific and highly poetic beauty. In addition, she developed the writing characteristics of Yuanxiang, which has always been based on specific regions, and presented the different landscapes of inland and border areas in her works, forming a beautiful picture of each other. The fifth chapter mainly analyzes the value and significance of Li Juan’s Yuanxiang writing. The value significance of Li Juan’s original township writing lies in that she not only continues the deep dependence of original township writers on the countryside, inherits the tradition of using original township writing to relieve the pressure of reality and realize the ideal imagination and spiritual recovery of the homeland, but also breaks through the dual opposition of urban and rural areas in the contemporary vision to find a new attitude of original township imagination. In addition, she is also concerned about global warming, resource waste, environmental pollution and other real crises, reflecting the author’s concern and deep reflection on the future of mankind.
