With the development of globalization,China’s tourism industry is also rapidly developing.Intangible cultural heritage,as an important resource for promoting cultural tourism as a new driving force for tourism economic growth,can be protected and developed to promote long-term development of the country and society,enhance people’s happiness,and play an important role in the sustainable development of regional tourism.Guangxi’s intangible cultural heritage,which is abundant in quantity,diverse in types,and has great potential for development,plays an important role in promoting the development of Guangxi’s cultural tourism industry.However,there is currently a lack of comprehensive analysis of Guangxi’s intangible cultural heritage and research on the response of Guangxi’s intangible cultural heritage tourism.Research related to Guangxi’s intangible cultural heritage tourism still mainly focuses on the tourism development and utilization of a certain type of intangible cultural heritage,a certain region’s intangible cultural heritage,or a certain intangible cultural heritage.Therefore,exploring how Guangxi’s intangible cultural heritage adapts to local conditions,types,and cross regional joint utilization of intangible cultural heritage tourism is an important direction of Guangxi’s intangible cultural heritage research.This paper uses mathematical statistics,spatial analysis,field survey and literature analysis to systematically sort out the national and district level intangible cultural heritage projects in Guangxi,analyze their structural characteristics,characteristics and spatial distribution characteristics,and explore the relationship between the distribution of intangible cultural heritage in Guangxi and regional tourism development,in order to provide corresponding basis for the tourism utilization of intangible cultural heritage in Guangxi.The research focuses on four aspects: First,collect,count and sort out the relevant data of Guangxi’s national and district intangible cultural heritage,and analyze whether the structure of intangible cultural heritage at the two levels of Guangxi is balanced by using mathematical statistics? How about different types of structures? Summarize the characteristics of intangible cultural heritage in Guangxi by combining existing literature research results with on-site investigations.Secondly,combining the spatial analysis method with the mathematical statistics method,this paper makes a detailed analysis of the spatial distribution type,distribution balance,overall spatial agglomeration area of intangible cultural heritage,the number distribution,density distribution,type distribution,dominance of intangible cultural heritage resources and different types of spatial agglomeration areas of intangible cultural heritage in Guangxi.Thirdly,analyze the response of Guangxi’s intangible cultural heritage tourism,that is,the spatial correlation between the spatial distribution of Guangxi’s intangible cultural heritage and tourism development.Fourthly,based on the previous research,targeted protection measures and tourism utilization strategies should be proposed.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Guangxi has a large number of intangible cultural heritage with complete types,but there are significant differences in the quantity among different levels and types.(2)The spatial agglomeration characteristics of intangible cultural heritage in Guangxi are significant.The agglomeration type is the spatial distribution type of intangible cultural heritage in Guangxi,and the distribution balance is not high.Intangible cultural heritage is mainly concentrated in the main core area of Nanning City,the western and northeastern regions of Guangxi are two areas with high distribution density,and the central and western and southern regions of Guangxi are two areas with medium distribution density.The regional differences between different types of intangible cultural heritage are prominent,and the agglomeration areas are all different.(3)The distribution of intangible cultural heritage in Guangxi has a certain tourism response in terms of tourism resource abundance,total number of tourists,domestic tourists,total tourism income,and domestic tourism income,but the response level is not high,indicating that the tourism utilization of intangible cultural heritage in Guangxi is still in the early stage.The distribution of intangible cultural heritage in Guangxi does not have a tourism response in terms of inbound tourists and foreign exchange income,indicating that the international recognition of intangible cultural heritage in Guangxi is relatively low.
