In today’s deepening globalization,countries around the world are facing more and more common challenges and have more and more common interests,and the world is increasingly becoming a community.However,instability is still on the rise,and the global governance system is in urgent need of change.For this reason,there must be a value to support and lead the construction of the community,and the common values of peace,development,equity,justice,democracy and freedom for all mankind are important values proposed by General Secretary Xi Jinping in the light of the current situation.Therefore,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to explore the relevant issues in depth in order to solve global problems and promote the realization of the Chinese dream.This paper mainly analyzes the common values of all mankind from the perspective of their formulation,basic connotation and related concept analysis,basic characteristics and functions,and explores the disadvantages of their construction from the practical and theoretical levels,on this basis,constructive ideas are offered for the fundamental principles and paths for building common values for all humanity.Common values for all mankind do not arise out of thin air,but are born in a specific context of the times,rooted in existing scientific theories,and based on a broad basis of reality.From the perspective of the background of the times,the Common Values for All Humanity is based on the in-depth development of globalization and the realistic needs of China’s development.From the viewpoint of ideological origin,it takes Marxian community thought as the theoretical basis and Chinese excellent traditional culture as the ideological source.From the realistic basis,the practice of great power diplomacy with Chinese characteristics is its realistic support,and the strengthening of the trend of globalization is its realistic foundation.The common values of all mankind have profound basic connotations,distinctive basic features and powerful practice features.Its basic connotation can be divided into three dimensions: peace and development,equity and justice,and democracy and freedom.In order to further understand this connotation,we should also analyze its related concepts,focusing on the relationship between theory and practice with the community of human destiny,the relationship between universality and specificity with socialist core values,and the essential difference with Western "universal values".From the perspective of characteristics and functions,the common values of all mankind is a realistic,compatible,developing and co-constructing concept,which can add momentum to the improvement of China’s international discourse,provide value support for the construction of the community of human destiny,and contribute Chinese wisdom to the construction of the international governance system.In order to further promote and construct common values for all mankind,it is important to recognize the disadvantages.The hegemony and power politics of Western countries and the misleading "universal values",insufficient domestic popularization and insufficient economic development have all hindered the construction of common values.To overcome these negative influences,we should adhere to the principles of equality and consultation,openness and tolerance,and common construction and sharing,so as to increase the enthusiasm of countries to realize common values.We should work on the cultivation of socialist core values,the satisfaction of people’s needs for a better life,and the construction of a modern and strong country,and constantly improve domestic identity;efforts should be made in foreign exchanges and cooperation,global governance,and the practice of building a community of human destiny to continuously improve international identity,so as to enhance the understanding of all countries and make joint efforts to promote the common values of all mankind.
