| Jianghan shadow play has a long history,with distinct national characteristics and artistic value.It is a dramatic form that gathers people’s livelihood,folk customs and customs,and performs by playing with shadows.It is rooted in the Jingchu culture in the Yangtze River basin,and is an important part of China’s intangible cultural heritage.Nowadays,with the improvement of material life and the invasion of foreign culture,the young audience is becoming fewer and fewer,the market is shrinking seriously,and the shadow puppeteers are generally getting older.This folk art with a long history is facing the situation of loss.Through the inquiry of relevant materials and the field visit to the Jinlingsi Community Shadow Play Training Center in Qianjiang City,Hubei Province,the author took the Jianghan Plain Shadow Play,the intangible cultural heritage of Qianjiang City,as the creation object,combined with the narrative content,narrative discourse,and narrative techniques surrounding in the image narrative theory as the theoretical support for the creation,and provided a train of thought for the image transmission of the Jianghan Plain Shadow Play.Documentary film,as an artistic carrier to display content in narrative form,is a TV program form that expresses thoughts and opinions through audio-visual language,and integrates the innovative content and will of the creators.Using documentary film as a carrier can better inherit the spiritual and cultural connotation of the shadow play,and create from the historical development of Jianghan shadow play,local cultural connotation,inheritors of shadow play skills,and relevant documents.Based on the theory of image narratology,this paper analyzes the application and practical experience of excellent foreign folk culture documentaries,excavates their image narrative features,and explores how to use images to tell the narrative skills of intangible cultural heritage stories.The author uses case analysis,text analysis,empirical research,and combined with the experience and experience of field investigation to carry out creative practice.It is divided into five parts for discussion;The first part is mainly the summary and introduction.The second part is the analysis of the transmission value of Jianghan shadow puppets,focusing on the historical background,cultural implication,and inheritance status quo,and explaining its artistic and social value.The third part is the analysis of the narrative discourse of Jianghan shadow play documentary.In the narrative content,it focuses on the objective representation of the shadow play art,the present situation and dilemma of the protection of intangible cultural heritage,and the excavation of the craftsman spirit of the heirs of intangible cultural heritage,and analyzes the narrative structure that can be used.The fourth part is to improve the expression effect of the documentary and enhance the artistic appeal of the documentary through such artistic techniques as narration,suspense setting,detail narration,plot reproduction and perspective narration at the screen narrative level.In the fifth part of the paper,the feasibility and practicability of the image narrative theory is proved,and the creation process is summarized.The creation of the documentary on the subject of intangible cultural heritage also provides a powerful emerging path for the inheritance and development of the Jianghan shadow play. |
